Since Samsung rolls out their firmware's over a period of time to different regions, this is the firmware from the first region Samsung decided to roll out to... Poland... check the video for languages supported.

1. This is meant only for the N9005.
2. You do not have to be Rooted.
3. You do not need a custom recovery.
4. It doesn't matter what firmare your N9005 is currently on.

Thank you. This worked great for me. I had a problem where my Odin 3 was not picking up the device. If anyone else has this problem, Simply go into your directory where Samsung Kies is installed. (Program files / program files x86 for 64bit Windows) Look in the folders for the USB Driver and run that setup file. Then run Odin 3 again and it will pick up your device and you can then continue. Awesome stuff. Thank you C4ETech!! :)

thanks a lot C4ETech I've upgraded my SM-N9005 using this method and i had no problem during upgrading, my baseband version was for UK and im living in iran. the guy who rooted their official ROM's don't forget to backup their data's.

I just updated my rooted n-9005 to KitKat without any data loss. Followed the steps and it was very smooth. 1.3 gb file download from Mega took very long time, though its better than the Terafile - which doesn't allows free download of file more than 1 gb size. Thanks C4Tech

Hey Ash,Thanks for the great Tutorial. Many in Sri Lanka including my self who had bought Note 3 N9005 from Dubai are having a problem in enabling 4G LTE network. Some experts in this field had predictions that this 4.2.2 update will fix that problem. Just now I upgraded mine using your tutorial. But the 4G LTE option still doesn't show up in the Mobile Networks Mode. Any Idea as to how we can fix this problem without rooting the phone.

Hey ash, Cheers for the good work.. I try to follow and watch many of your video's and was greatly helped when I was choosing between a N9000/N9005.. Clearly I purchased the N9005.. I was surprised you never mentioned that the 4G chip goes dormant when a non 4G sim card is inserted.. Also the backing of developers is more with the N9005 rather than the N9000! But cheers anyway for the info it was the best video and exactly what I was looking for.. Moving along.. So my problem is this I downloaded a torrent for the 4.4.2 Poland firmware (N9005XXUENA6).. Because downloading from any other source (non torrent) is near impossible with my constant start/stop internet connection..The torrent which I have downloaded has 4 different files from the firmware package.. BL, AP, CSC & CP.. How do I go about installing it on my SM-N9005? As it is clearly different to the one you're using to upgrade your firmware.. Also will I lost the ability to go back to 4.3? Also a question I always wondered was will I retain all my Data? Since I am only rooted and currently on Stock firmware 4.3 with Xposed Framework..

If I flash this and for some reason need to do a wipe data/factory reset, how do I get my applications and data back without root? All applications I've seen needs root to restore application data. What application can I use to restore application data without root??

you said when phone won't boot or frozen or bootloops, go to recovery mode and do factory reset and also wipe cache partition. I didn't wipe cache partition is it ok? (but I saw at the bottom left in yellow text it said: formatting /data, formatting /cache, complete )

The reason why it us stock in a bootloop cause it doesn't automatically format the system. Its like you're doing a dirty installation of a rom.

Hey! I did this a while ago and it has been working great. Just now it came an update were alot of other programs were installed that i can not uninstall. C4ETech Hey Ash, I exactly followed your steps and my Note 3 is bricked. It actually matters if you choose the wrong region even with the Polish firmware. Now, samsung ask me to replace motherboard. I got efuse error message and I have tried all the reviews from many technology nerds!! I bricked it!! Is there a way out?? Knox is still 0x0 and binary is custom & system status is official. Is warranty covered with this status? Pls respond as it will help me save 20K.
