I’ve always avoided tie dye, most patterns I see just don’t appeal to me but this channel’s and there’s like this has changed my perspective of tie dye and it’s diversity and possibilities of potential designs. I’d love to see this design on a dress

@heidicharles9758 There is a puffy fabric paint made by Marvy Uchida that you can be brush on as the paints come in markers too, or directly from the bottle. I've used it for stars, spiral galaxies & ringed planets. For that you gotta keep space between the rings. You let the paint set for 4 hours, then go over the paint, front and inside with a heat gun, blow dryer or an iron with very little steam. Don't touch the paint just let the heated air go over the paint and watch it freak! The paint really puffs straight up depending on the thickness you used. Thats why i needed to keep space between the rings or the paint would close them up. I haven't had a problem with this paint coming off even in the washer. I do let them air dry though. My oldest tee with the Velvet puffy planets is 5 years old now and they are still there. Micheals sells the markers. I order the paint tubes from Amz. Maybe this will help you in what you're doing.

Wow love the colors and the stars..hope to learn more from your videos… TEACH Me please 😊….. What brand dyes are you using? Are you pre-washing your shirts in soda ash?? What else are you adding to the water with the color safe bleach to make it that soapy?
@LSDTieDyeTV Жыл бұрын
LSD fiber reactive dye and Dharma. Yes pre washed in soda ash. Just water and color safe bleach. ✌️
@samday6621 Жыл бұрын
I was wondering how you did the stars! Great work again. You’ve clearly had a lot of practice. I feared the way you laid the black near the end would be too much and/or reveal as a pattern. I like that you really push tie-dying so as not to look like what you’d expect. Do you think you could go further…maybe depicting a tree…forest or emerging face?
@elizabethdickerson1136 Жыл бұрын
5:30 can you help me understand why use the “color safe bleach“ instead just usual detergent for tie dye???

How do you get the dyes to be so deep yet vibrant
@JennyfromOhio8 ай бұрын
Before he does any of his tie-dyes, he took soaks the material in 1 gallon of water with a cup of soda ash in it for 20 minutes. Soda Ash is made by sprinkling baking soda on a cookie sheet and baking it at 200 for a half an hour in the oven, make sure you use gloves when you handle it afterwards because it’s a real irritant
