As I'm a woman, in my childhood, she was one of my favorite heroines. I felt that there was something between Niko and Shane Goozemann - and I loved this "ship". The sad thing about the story is that she was always loyal, and he couldn't resist other flirtations - although, I could tell, he felt a strong attraction to her, too...

That was deliberate on the part of the writers. Rowley even snarks about it during the DVD commentary about "Scarecrow" - there was an incident where...well, his wife was talking about how he found the fanfic and was just absorbed in it. He could not believe we can and did totally "go there." And the story in question? Well, she was sitting at a table of fanfic writers and we ALL helped the writer with the smuttty scene in question!

Fun facts: Laura Dean voiced the G1 Twilight in the 1980s My Little Pony series, and did voice work on Robert Mandell’s alongside fellow Jewel Riders actress Corinne Orr! Solid stuff!! Maybe try reversing the image on some scenes(like Niko singing) to give the illusion of fewer repetitive scenes. Plus I'd like to see more of Niko's changing of her eye color. I was looking for a video of choices of actors for a G.R. movie when I found your video. If you could make something like that...that would be super cool!!

It was implied that Niko had a mild crush on the guy (not hard, Eliza had TASTE!) from some comments her mentor/mother figure Ariel said in her one episode. But Zach was absolutely single target - it was his wife or nobody. And Niko was more like his second daughter than anything.
