This is Great! But actually I can't choose one feeling 100% convinced! I'm 15 so the principal use for this will be the calls and the quality of the reception and stuff as well.. so it should be the S4 but I Iove Active for the underwater picture taking Actually I see I need that water and dust resistence in my phone because of how I get along the day so... Which one?

But NFC is a different than IQ wireless charging, isn't it? Because NFC is Near field communication. I have seen that for wireless charging it needs a spezial cover. But gave it a spezial IQ cover for the active?

Thx for this. The only thing that seems to be constantly overlooked is that the S4 only shoots 4:3 using the full 13MP. In order to get the full 16:9 you have to drop to around 9MP (EST). THAT would be a much more even comparison unless of course there is a similar drop for the active to which case this was never mentioned. Would love some insight on this MF! Again, as always, great work.

I'm a clumsy and just generally have a lot of bad luck. I got the Active because I know that it won't be as easy to break but I know that the Samsung products are better than HTC where Samsung does still care for their older products where HTC throws away any care for any issues for their year old models.

about the sharpness (pentile vs non-pentile) does not make any difference on a 400+ PPI display.

LCD has a lot more benefits than just better outdoor visability, first it looks a lot sharper, due to the 3 sub pixels, instead of only 2 on an super amoled display. And second you don't have pixel burning on a LCD screen which is a HUGE benefit.

Since I heard that all the camera functions and other will be on the S3 and that there are five different versions, actually 6 versions of the GS4...I am waiting with my S3 for the S5 next year :D

even if it did come to other countries, it would most likely be more expensive than the normal S4. Most people (who aren't tech geeks) would still go for the normal S4 because the only main differences is the processor and LTE advanced technology.

@MF, actually a lot of samsung phones have a widget called "Assistive light" that comes predownloaded and is a flashlight (ok u probably knew that but just in case). It probably is on both S4's because it's on my AT&T Galaxy S III with 4.1.1

I love my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active & all tho I never had the S4 I can see that my cell is better by this video b/c it is toughter also the calling ppl is not a problem for me b/c I got a bluethooth so it's easy to understand ppl better with that with my cell. If I were to up grade in the future I will always get the active version of the S series no matter how high it goes up to in numbers

I will recommend the s4 active 100% no matter how clumsy you are, it will not scratch or crack. But, if you are new to android and this is your first one than, it will have some pros and cons... First Apple, apple gets everything first apps and more. But, it doesnt allow a mini sd card. The s4 active has 16g but, it doesnt allow you to put apps and music etc. to be placed in the sd card. Only photos and videos can be placed there. If you are switching from apple to android, i would ask you not to. I found out for my self. Still the s4 active is doing great for me.

You can put apps on the SD card. Your information is wrong. I own this phone and another Samsung. And I would also use a case with this phone..it will scratch .

JJWalker The data file is basically the game itself. All of its save files and textures, sounds, etc. Are in that file. The application file is basically the activation switch. Otherwise if you don't have it you can't play the game/ app!

You said you cannot put music on the sd card..not true. I put all my music on my external card. I download torrents to it also. Apps are tricky..You can "move apps to SD card" but it still leaves some data on the internal memory. You may have a better understanding of app data on SD but you are not correct about music or other data. I used usb to PC to load music etc...so I'm not sure how you are doing it but I can measure the space I use with music on my sd card as I add more. And I can use file mgr o phone or PC when hooked up to look at sd card and see my music and videos.
