I've been using a built in stylus since the HTC Touchpro 2 back on 2009. When the Note series came out, it changed the game for me. I've been an S-pen fanatic since the Note 3. I too can't use a phone without it. At one point, my Note 5 broke and got an LG stylo 4 to transition to my next Note. It wasn't the same, but it satisfied my obsession with a built in stylus… LOL

@wesman6445 exactly ,and we have a never-ending notepad and pen to hand , bits of paper get lost ,virtually impossible to lose a note with samsung notes .

@@sparx2391 when I used to be a supervisor in a housewares department, the off screen memo was a life saver. I used to write down serial numbers, sale prices, peoples names for when they came later to pick up an item. The S-pen was a tool for me. It's like that saying, it's better to have one and not need it, than to need it and not have one… LOL

Yup. Using S pen since Note 3. I just gave up my last Note 20 Ultra for S24 Ultra. Bittersweet feeling but I'm glad I did. I feel like I have an external brain with S24Ultra + One Note. ❤❤❤

OMG Same!! Since the Note 2!! Remember how people stared like they were horrified to see such a huge phone? I used to think "HOW RUDE!" no actually I thought "one day you'll all have a big phone. But I agree on the S pen. People think it's just a stylus that is for "looks".. it's so much more. Besides the creative things you can do (there are s-pen artists, believe it or not, but my business is all in my Notes. I have a whole system in there that I've used for 10+ years. I don't use my laptop much at all because I'm able to accomplish so much with this. I' love it and I reluctantly traded in my Note20 Ultra for an S24 ultra that I received today from Samsung. I am pleased but I must say, that Note 20 ultra was one of the best phones I've ever owned . I also have an iPhone 14 pro max and I'm not going to get into the apple vs Samsung thing as it's just about personal preference but after 6 years of both, I've never felt that my Samsung was going to be "crap" when the newer version inevitably comes out. I do feel that iPhones are all about NEW NEW NEW while my Samsung Note always seems light years ahead of the other. I mean it's been 4 years with the Note 20 and i couldn't justify a need for an upgrade (and I'm human ..i like a new gadget like the next girl but this was an exceptional phone that they had to really offer me a lot to trade up but i am pleased with it. It isn't that much different but I see some small changes and I'm game. But I always felt like the loyal "Noters" (giggle) had a secret that only we shared but it's getting out now. It's been entertaining to watch.

Best S Pen tricks video out there! I started using the S Pen on a mobile phone when I got the Note 10+ just when it came out, but I rarely used the pen because I was never accustomed on using on a daily basis. Now I have a S24U and I'm using the pen daily even when I'm doing normal stuff, not necessary pen exclusive like drawing or taking notes. It's becoming more and more necessary and I'm starting to feel the need to use the pen anytime I unlock the phone. I didn't knew half of the tips you show in the video, definitely going to use the pen even better now!

Thanks for this video! I just got my S24 Ultra a week ago and there's so much to learn and do with it, especially the S Pen. One app that I downloaded was Zedge for animated wallpapers and notification sounds. I was able to download sound clips for my S pen here. I have a Mandalorian wallpaper (for now) that pops up when I remove my S Pen and the theme song plays. It says "this is the way" when I return the pen. I also downloaded other Star Wars and Harry Potter sounds for my S pen. I switch them out depending on what popsocket and wallpaper I'm using. It's so fun customizing this thing 😊.

The only KZbinr that really knows S Pen in detail. 👍💙 If I may, I would like to mention an S Pen feature that you did not show this time but makes sense to be mentioned after "Circle to search" was introduced. I call it “Hover over to search”. To all owners of recent Galaxy phones/tablets with an S Pen before S24 series: you have “circle to search” on your device with almost the exact same user interface, actually the UI is even better: - Select the Air commend “Bixby vision”. - From that point on, at any time from within any app, ”hover over” (“point to”) something on your screen - Bixby intelligently marks the object to be searched - Just tap with the S Pen or finger on “Search picture” - The results appear from button exactly like “Circle to search” - Press the back button and continue in your app I don’t know any more when it was introduced and which devices are supported. It is quicker to use than "circle to search", but it uses Bixby vision (which is good enough for most use-cases). It also allows to search for text. Like "Circle to search" you don't leave the current App (not more than "Circle to search" does).

I really like your videos and glad that your channel came up on my feed, cause this is the type of in depth videos I was looking for. All the other tech videos feel the same going over the same stuff camera screen etc etc. This is more what I need to know to use the devices. That aside I'm just confused between pixel 9 pro and upcoming s25 ultra. I like the s pen but I also like pixel 9 pro cause its smaller and has some useful software features like multiple users, the wallpaper cinematic feature, pinned app, stock feel without bloaters and some more that I found in your videos. Probably gonna end up with Samsung cause of the pen.

I'm am electrician so im not at a desk all day , I use it for lighting layouts and measurements, electronic door codes ,keeping track of what jobs I've been on , materials lists ,names and addresses ,bits of paper get lost ,I've never lost a note with samsung notes. I've been using the pen since it came out. I've had every Note (including the Note7 that got recalled) and now the ZFolds. However, the frustrating part is that the pen won't work on the ZFold front screen, and I miss that, especially on a call when I want to jot down a number or quick note, but I use it ALL the time. As a writer with large fingers, it's very useful on the keyboard.

I used the smart select on the edge panel the whole time I had the s22 without an S pen and getting smart select set up was one of my first priorities, but I can not locate it anywhere. I actually thought they might have done away with it, or it wasn't compatible with the S24Ultra because I've done everything I can think of to get it back. If that has happened to anyone else and you have an idea what my dumb*** is doing wrong, I'd gladly appreciate it. Great video mate

Bro what an amazing tutorial, awesome video ! The only part that my phone doesn't do the same as this video is on the lock screen note when i draw whatever i want and then i want to save it as my screensaver as you did, i only have the caption that says "save", there is no two dofferent options like you had. I am assuming since this video is 6 months old now maybe options changed?

Hi , I have a screenshot of monthly pass that I want handy with a quick gesture. Is there any way i can have a specific photo open when i lets say i use one hand + app. I tried but could not find anything , I am watching this from germany and from my youtube app in s24 ultra. @@WhatGear I would use smart select but I need something less permanent and not visible all time and the photo should appear from no where whenever I need... for now I have added the image as favorite and opening galary with swipe down on right side gesture... so galary open where I still have to press the photo.. this is workaround until I figure something out via some routines or so

The writing surface for text inputs to search fields etc is great but if I select the search field it often opens the little floating toolbar thing and when I then select the keyboard it opens a floating keyboard rather than the writing surface. Have I got something set up wrong? To get back to the writing surface I have to select the translate tool to maximise the keyboard

Just to answer my own question, I've just realised that if I select the text box with my finger instead of the pen, it defaults to the writing surface

I had an S22 Ultra and now have an S23 Ultra but I have never seen a writing pad like the one on your screen at the 2m 40s mark. I can get a create note page which does not have the options shown on yours. Is this an S24 Ultra feature only? I have to admit that although the pen has loads of features I can never remember them so only use it for notes hence the interest in the writing pad.

Hi, I have s23 Ultra also and noticed the same that I didn't get that writing pad either. You have to press that gear icon on keyboard and scroll down to handwriting and then turn on pen detection. Hope this helps.
