But the s20 fe is just as good and it won't break the bank 🤣 interesting fact Samsung said they made the s20 fe exclusively for the pandemic also it sells a bit better than other Samsung phones cause it's at a price anyone can afford vs other Samsung phones that cost maybe 1100 plus also it has all the stuff that the 20 fe has and more well minus the adaptive display but no matter I always keep mine at 120hz and it keeps on kicking sometime even though 2 days

I absolutely love this phone. I was a hardcore apple fan until getting this phone about 8 months ago and am still very satisfied with my purchase. The battery life is still great, it's responsive, fast and has great screen resolution imo. I don't have any reason to get a new phone for a good while!

Pity the Exynos version is such a poor performer. It heats up so quickly that it throttles to less than half of its peak performance, takes less than 5 mins to accomplish this. Truly a letdown

Interesting fact: S20 FE is the most popular recent launched phone here in Brazil, because its the cheapest flagship you can buy, its around 2.000 R$ (360$) and its insane, I just got mine for 2.270 a month after it launched and I'm very happy.. I really hope the FE series can stay and also be cheaper, because here S21 very expensive, and iPhones even more.. Some are literally 1 year of savings to buy.

MKBHD chose this phone to be the phone of the year 2020, that tells something!

MKHD is based in America, and their choice is so bad it is shocking. Over in Europe, we have far more options and better competition, so we got far more phones better than the S20FE and cheaper to boot. Samsung knows how to get their fans to buy something that looks value, but in most places, is way over-priced. In the UK, prices dropped very quickly in the grey markets as it did not sell as well at its launch price. It is still around £700 (Samsung, £600 Amazon and non-UK versions at £500) for the 5G but is 2020-spec in hardware and many flagships from last year are now lower than that price, so it remains a tough buy-very overrated and, for me, a marketing coup supported by the YT community. I am glad it arrived in Europe with all that said, as Exynos sucked last year and it was nice for hardcore Samsung fans to be able to get a TSMC made Snapdragon.

@@umersalman1 It is a fact that Exynos is inferior to all the flagship SoCs. Samsung even stuck the SD865 in the s20FE in Europe to make up for the terrible sales of their Exynos S20 line. Even this year Samsung knows it is not good as their mid-ranger and cheaper devices are all going with Snapdragon and even Mediatek! Loads of videos on the internet showing how bad Exynos is, 2-3 gens behind Apple with the GPU. No sensible person in Europe given a choice of Exynos or Snapdragon would choose Exynos despite Samsung superfans pretending it is great! What is sad is that Samsung made the SD888 this year and that is probably why it was not as good as expected (thermally more so). Qualcomm is trying to get TSMC back for their 2021 flagship Snapdragon but Apple has bought out most of the capacity.

I bought the FE on release, and I love this device. I was waiting for a movie screening to begin today and did a 5g speedtest. 600mb down and 50 up. The screen is wonderful. It fits pretty well in the hand given the screen size, and the battery life is nothing short of spectacular. I think of all the phones at the beginning of the 4g rollout that had 3 hours of screen on time due to the thirsty modems and compare it to devices like the FE. It's a night-and-day difference.

The screen is not wonderful, though. The green tint on grey backgrounds is very noticeable, and much worse than even on 3 year old Samsung flagships.

You made the right choice. Not to mention the S20 FE (and the entire S20 lineup) is the last Galaxy series to have the MST (magnetic strip technology) feature which will allow you to use Samsung Pay at almost any store.

I have had it for 5 months now and I am loving it. Everything on the phone is amazing, I have 5g version tho. Cameras are sometimes a bit mediocre but when I catch perfect lightning photos are phenomenal. I was thinking about switching to s21 fe when it comes out but lack of SD card support is a no no. It also does not come with nothing new except a bit better cameras and processor. So it is not really an upgrade.

Really love this after 3 months. The plastic screen protector went crinkly soon after so I went to a glass protector. No fingerprint issues with the glass protector (although onscreen sensor does take awhile to get used to). No overheating ever. Takes great pics. Doesn't feel huge. SD card was a must. Battery is GREAT. I do agree with the narrator, the volume control is too high up.

I'm upgrading from the S10e and I just wish they'd kept that touch panel finger print scanner on the side, it was such a nifty feature but didn't get implemented into any other models in the Samsung range, was so comfortable and easy to use, and pulling down the notification bar was a lot less intrusive (hand not being in front of the screen while you do it)

I'm using the S20FE5G and love it. Great camera, great battery and very decent display. I get average 6 hrs screen on time. Never have to charge through the day I can push through from 6am to 10pm with like 10-15% left. Overall great phone. And the glastic was never an issue because I keep my phone's in cases.

How is the battery drain and heating? My battery drains even when left untouched. And it heats with minimal amount of gaming. I play Pes at standard graphics and by the 15 min mark the phone becomes hot making it uncomfortable to use. I have the sd version and is only 2 days old. Battery drain is evident. Every 2 min 1% battery drain and if used for gaming or youtube the battery drains rapidly. Is my phone faulty? Should i replace it. I have 4 days left to get a replacement. Some are saying it takes a week for the battery to get stabilised. But many youtube reviews have only positives about the battery while mine can't even handle mild gaming for 30 mins. Pls help needed. Any thoughts.

I recently purchased (Dec 2021) the S20 FE 5G. The phone is great for the money. Coming from OnePlus 5, I'll say that the worst thing about S20 FE 5G is the bloatware, the next worst being the haptics. The display is good, not great. You definitely need to buy the 25 watt fast charger if you choose to buy this phone. The battery lasts a little over a day with heavy usage after a full charge, and I have not experienced any heating issues. I am sure this phone will last me another 4 years. Happy with the purchase.

In 2021, it's easily still Top 5. I like it more than the S21 phones (except Ultra) and it's killing the 1+9 series as well. Screen, speed, speakers and the expandable memory does it all for me. I hear the S21 FE is killing the SD card feature and that's a killer for me. I'd recommend this phone highly in 2021!

mine quickly got the *'moisture in charging port'* warning for almost THREE months now while the closest warranty certified lab is an hour and a half away while I have to attend 2 jobs.. so.. I got screwed with a phone that can only charge wirelessly. Warning stays on and doesn't let go while phone hasn never been dropped or seen water AND it has rugged high end case.

@@TheGDEventI Overall, it's a great phone! I have been having overheating issues recently though. The phone has been forcing me to close apps like KZbin when the cpu is overheating. This mostly occurs while charging the phone or using it in the sun. I haven't reached out to Samsung support yet but if it happens again I might need to. However, I haven't had this issue since I stopped using a case with the phone. It still gets very warm though!

I just got this and it's very nice all round. Got it for 550euro in Ireland. So delighted with it. Going from galaxy a7 (2018) is a lovely improvement had that phone a while, I adored it. Happy this new one is better in every way with similar dimensions.

What these reviewers don't tell you is that they receive the perfect version of the phone. S20 Fe can come with a buggy display. Make sure to buy it from a renown retailer so you can send it back for them to fix under warranty if your unlucky to lose the display lottery.

Watching on my 2 months old S20FE 5G. Really good phone. Only gripe i have is ear piece volume during voice calls are low comparing to my S10 Plus. Other than that good camera, battery life. User experience ...all good.

I recommend you to turn on the Dolby Atmos from the dropdown menu, because it will boost the power of the sound from the earpiece speaker and make it basically as loud as the bottom firing loud speaker. You will notice the improvement especially if you watch KZbin videos on the phone.

@@KasunPe I got it back in December and returned mine within the two week return window as it was unusable randomly and multiple times a day for up to 5 minutes at a time. I went with the s20+ and have had zero issues. Edit: so yeah I am not sure if the problem is fixed or not. The reddit Megathread in the GalaxyS20 subreddit I was following was closed after Samsung released a 4th or 5th update that claimed to fix it.

Touch screens issues still here. Got the latest software update and it feels like touch is resolved and when you really expect nothing but perfection it falls apart. Especially while typing the back key is just not responsive. The phone wakes up in the pocket and this is because it has no proximity sensor. Even if you check box the Samsung setting accidental touch protection it does nothing to prevent it from waking up. The speakers and battery are top class but the wide field camera is garbage and so is the biometrics.. Wish they brought back the iris scanner.. It was by far the most covid friendly feature

To anyone considering the FE 4G version please take warning. Have had the S20 FE 4G version for about 5 months and there are issues with battery drain. The only way to keep it lasting a full day with a lot of usage is to keep it on power saving mode; however, that can effect processing power and the screen refresh rate, capping it at 60hz. Apart from that it's been a great phone, but this being my first phone with a screen larger than 5.6 inches (FE having 6.6 inches), I can't get on with the size as it just feels too bulky in my hands when trying to do anything one-handed. I wish I went for the Pixel 5 instead.

You didn't talk about the charging speed of the phone. I'm having the exynos version & the phone charges very slow even with the faster 18W / Samsung's 25W charger. It takes around 3 hours to get fully charged. I really don't know wheather it happens with the 5g version, but it happens with the 4 version n& the battery life is very very average that too with 60Hz screen on, battery performance goes down with 120Hz display on.

I have the s20 Ultra with the snapdragon 865! Never felt any warmth at all no matter what ive put it under, stays mighty cool. Maybe the bigger body of the s20 U helps with that though, not too sure!

For those who don't know: S20 FE doesn't have proximity sensor. You have to touch top part of the screen to turn off it off. It works suprisingly well, but it's something worth noting.

I bought the SM-G780G model that was released in may 2021. It's with the SD865 but without 5G (which I don't need) but it is VERY sharply priced at 439 euros. Very happy with it and I recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible value for money phone.

No the fe with out 5g is the exynos all snapdragon 865 sets have 5g as standard theirs no 4g version unless its a p50 pro with 4g only
