yep and in a few months the P40 Pro will be the best, and that will be at half the price (UK anyway). That is how tech goes, nothing revolutionary. Of course, if its price was sensible then I would agree but at $1400 I expect the s20 Ultra specs, and TBH I expected more. In 4-months it will be about £800 and then it may be worth a look, but at the current price really only for Samsung fans and influencers, spec junkies and the rich.

Already preordered mine. Got galaxy buds+ a galaxy tablet with cases for both and a wireless charge station just for upgrading. Almost 800 in product for only 20 bucks more a month on my bill for this phone when I'm a videographer, is amazing. Will this be my go to for filming? No but I could definitely use this in many professional situations

It's 4x optical zoom. (102mm full frame equivalent). The 10x comes from 4x optical and 2.5x digital. The main sensor is 25.5mm full frame equivalent. This comes from the specs sheet. Be careful of Samsung's marketing. Well in fact Samsung does call it 10x hybrid zoom so that should of been a pretty big hint

The is turn off by default so if you see no need for it don't worry it won't be turned on. You paid over 1000 for this phone should be up to you what is Worth it or not.

What I have realized so far in any kind of video I have seen , 100x zoom is better to be used when the object is really far , that is where you can get a "good" shot , otherwise zooming 100x to a close object , ofcrs it will be blury .

30x zoom is enough for the average creeper. they added the 100x zoom for the ultra creepers who will buy a third party telephoto zoom lens attachment to get 1000x zoom lol and use a tripod with it so it brings out the crisp creep pics

I don't understand keeping a few apps open, as if this is something new. This has been the case for years where Android will keep apps running in the bg. It has been one the major selling points of Android vs. iOS.

Yes, but when you put an app in the background and then go back to it, then often the app refreshes. Maybe you've had it happen, you scroll through Instagram, then go to another app, then go back 10 minutes later to Instagram and the app reloads and you lost the page and position that you navigated to. To prevent this you can "lock" the app into memory, however you need enough memory to be able to do that with multiple apps. I think that's what the reviewer is referring to.

You dont have to swipe from top of the display to put down the notification panel. Just enable swiping down anywhere on the display from homescreen in the settings. Even my s9+ has this setting, they knew that the big screen would be hard to use and ofcourse they will make ways for the user to be comfortable using their phone

People have gripes on price yet buy apple phones for same price that pack way less in features and functionality. 🙄 only reason it's hard for people to wrap heads around price point is because Samsung' has phones at lower prices that pack a ton of features as well so really Samsung is there own competition in that aspect, given they have s20+5G , note 10+ 5G, s10+ 5G, zflip, A series etc.. lower prices and still full of features all still great phones ahead of other phones at same price tag with the exception of s20U being best of the best.
