So I upgraded from the iPhone 11 to the samsung galaxy s21 and to be completely honest I love it. For what I do on my phone I get significantly more battery life out of the s21 and I couldn't be more happy. I wish I went with the s21+ just for that extra screen size but the s21 6.2 inch display isn't small by any means. So if your looking to switch from let's say a iPhone X so an android I would personally go with the s21. Great day in the life video by the way.

I upgraded to s21 from the iPhone xR yesterday and to be honest I love almost everything about this phone except for the selfie camera and the battery. though its not bad however I don’t feel confident using it on a long day without any power-bank. Let me know if you have any tips for suggestions.

A new Samsung will normally give you the worst battery life during the first week of use It gets better by time as learning usage patterns saves a ton of battery

Great review! Only the battery that was underestimated. To check the real screen on time, you need to go to device care -> battery -> tap the graph and then it will show the real screen on time.

personally i liked what samsung done, they made it a cheaper model, some things are actually better than ultra (just one or two) and this is nice to consider we have been used to 1200 or 1500 all this while, hope they keep doing these types of movement in the future

Great review. Just wanted to add the phone rarely goes into 48hz. It is usually in 60hz when not in use including always on display. You can turn on refresh rate stats in developer options.

I want a battery case for my S21 but there aren't many for the regular S21 only ultra or plus By the way I put it in 60hz turn off enhanced processing and power saver and I easily get 9 hours of SOT watching videos and it STILL looks awesome. Right now I'm at 86% and have 1 hour and 32 minutes screen on time.

In fact for 2 - 3 years to really judge the autonomy of a Samsung it is after 3 - 4 weeks of use the time that the phone learns your uses and optimizes for them. I went from 6h SOT on my old S10 Plus to 8h - 8h30 after 3 weeks. And especially if you switch the phone in energy saving mode (you won't feel any difference in speed on standard tasks, social networks, web, KZbin) but the gain in autonomy is monstrous. For intensive tasks (game, compression and video editing) just set a Bixby routine that requires the smartphone to go back to Normal or beast mode. It's a bit complicated 😅 but it's actually very simple and quick to set up. I think that's how iPhones are optimized by default.

I fully regret getting the iPhone 12 rather than the s21. The only problem that drove me to go to the iPhone is that those s21 phones being sold by Samsung stores in our country are all exynos. And yikes, I don’t like that chipset as I have experienced using it with my past galaxy devices now. It freaking rapidly slowed after over 2 years of usage.

Expected SoT using 60 hz should land between 7-9 hrs and 120 hz on about 6-7 hrs. Any lower than this and you should consider disabling some settings and removing bloat apps.

@@felpzdev The only differences between the ultra and standard was battery size, but 1000mah shouldnt of made that battery so bad. My friend has the base s20 and her battery life is around 5+ hours screen on time. Also s21 has worse screen, no expandable memory, no mst support and plastic. Literally a downgrade lmao

Hey. I have the S21 exynos old as same as your. So in my one it drain the battery very quickly from 5% to 0%. Very quick mean like in 8min it will be dead.
