I got my S21 a few days ago that replaced my Galaxy S8 & I have to say it has been a seamless transition. This phone does everything my S8 did just faster & I guess better but as far as feel it's the same feeling. I'm glad that they removed the gorilla glass on the back so it's less to worry about with dropping the phone & cracking the glass. I really struggled with losing the SD card slot but I only had 64 GB of memory on my S8 & managed not to get it filled in almost 5 years so I feel like 128 GB for me will be just fine. Good review too, thank you!

As someone who cracked the back of their S8 (I had to shuffle over on a bench and it fell out of my pocket onto the floor), upgrading to the S21 is a lot less worrying, though the camera bump gives me anxiety lmao.

I was at work & had put my phone in my shirt pocket & I bent over to pick up something & there it went... CRACK!!! I had taken the cover off to charge the phone & when I went to work I was running late & didn't bother to put it back on... HUGE mistake :-(

I had the S20 FE for about a week, I had to return it because looking at the screen gave me a headache and made me feel kind of motion sick. I hope the S21 (I pre-ordered it) doesn't do that. Although, I will say, if this plastic is the same as the FE, it feels VERY nice. I don't know why people are obsessed with having a glass backed phone. I didn't even realize my current phone had a glass back because I always use a case. But seriously, it seems like a no brainier, plastic is way less fragile than glass. Also, the finger print unlocking in the screen is unbelievably awesome! I was really sad that I had to return that FE. Looking forward to the S21!!

I tried out an iPhone 12. I've been an Android user my whole life. I wanted to learn the iPhone os so I can perform my future career in technology better. The iPhone has some cool features, but the Galaxy does everything better. Siri is awesome, and I love the iPhone features. But the multiple irritants made me leave the iPhone behind. You have to do a special work around for a good night mode. Without applying the dark zoom filter th let screen is still blindingly bright. I'm so excited to return to the Galaxy.

Good review. I'm still using my 7s edge and consider myself a novice when it comes to phones since I don't change phones often or keep up with the latest developments. This explained everything in a direct & simplistic way someone like me can understand. I'm not sure what my next phone will be (it'll be a Samsung, I know), but a multitude of cameras I don't need like the Ultra has. I don't care about a headphone jack or a sim card as long as there's generous storage.

I just got this new phone on Saturday, before this though I had the S7 Edge and I loved it. I didn't even plan on getting another phone actually until my phone was hacked and I just gave in and got this new one here that's in the video. I'm just going to say, ITS WELL WORTH IT. As for storage it has no SD card and has 3X the storage that my S7 Edge had, so I'm very pleased with this phone.

Very good review. The design is simply gorgeous 😍 especially the Phantom Violet? I did a trade-in deal for the S21+. 384.00 buck-a-roos. A deal I couldn't pass up. Wow-we, that 888processer is blazing, plus the 120hz display, speed wise & clarity of the screen even at 1080p beautiful 😍. That 🌙nightsight camera is vastly improved? I have the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, and I'm sad to say that this feels like a huge step backward. The removal of the Micro SD slot from the phone is HUGE to me. I've been using a 128GB Micro SD for close to five years now. Just can't believe Samsung is following Apple's lead in this category of removing standard features. Not to mention they downgraded the phone's screen resolution as well.

@@jpjp3873 Yeah. I have loved my Samsung phones. I've been with them since the original Samsung Galaxy S (then S2, S4, S6, S8,... etc). Mainly because they offer things that Apple does not. Now it just seems like Samsung is turning into an Android version of Apple. If that's the case I'll gladly switch to a Google Pixel, or another device that isn't sacrificing consumer wants for their own profitability.

Trust me I have multiple cloud services (Samsung, Microsoft, and Google), but that doesn't mean removing a standard feature should be called innovative. I can easily upgrade my phone with an extra 128GB of storage for $30. 🤔 It's called being smart and not needing to pay an extra $200 for no apparent reason. Why don't you go meditate, find god, or maybe a girl to help resolve your obvious pent up frustrations with yourself.

0:40 I think if the average user is being honest with themselves, most of these are not bad things. Don't want another pair of cheap headphones don't want another charger don't want an SD card slot I run my current WQHD+ screen in FHD+ for battery life and speed anyway. Have never needed 12gb of ram on a mobile device I always keep my phone in a case, couldn't care less what the back is made of. As long as you're aware that the S21 is now a mid range phone and not a poweruser flagship, I don't think there's much to complain about.

In last two years I jumped from Galaxy S8 to OnePlus 7t and now to S21. It's great, the size is PERFECT, screen is so good that just scrolling the settings up and down is fun. Can't speak for battery life yet, but it last a single day no problem. The only downside up until now is charging. I got a wireless pad to slow charge it during the night, but after OnePlus 40min 0-100% charging, S21 suuuucks. It does not even go full speed on the OP charger (which is 35W if I remember correctly) - I have to buy another one, because without "fast charging" it takes two hours to charge. Other than that, great phone, amazing cameras, super fast and fluid, and the size, I can't get over the perfection of the size (at least for my hands)

Upgraded my S9 which I really liked. I got the S21 free with S9 trade-in. So far it's my favorite phone. I always use a case, so the plastic back is irrelevant. The only thing I would prefer is having the sd card.

@@yankee54 For me it has enough storage. But, it depends on your usage. Check your current phones "used" internal storage. The base S21 has 12gb. I have 8gb full 4gb free. Apps, videos and downloads can fill space fast. Pics don't take up nearly as much space unless you take tons of pics.

Depending on carrier deals... no. T-Mobile had a 500$ trade-in deal for the S20 FE, bringing it down to 200$. For the S21, they have an 800$ trade-in deal, for the S9 and up, bringing the price down to just the tax for the base S21.

i have the S21 ultra, really good phone, coming from an A70 the 200 bucks saved can easily cover the cost for more soldered storage and a charger, and i use an USB C usb to transfer most files anyway

I skipped last yrs S20 mainly because I was still happy with my S10 plus. Yesterday I went into best buy with my brother so he can upgrade his dead A20 to the S21 (Basic) I started looking around and asked the young lady that was taking care of my brother's sale if they had any deals for trade in. They did so I picked up my S21 plus I was tripping out over the fact that I didn't know why the animations was so smooth. I had no idea this screen refreshes up to 120 🤣 Got to say so far I'm happy with the phone. I start work at 6 am got home today at 5:30 with 58% battery 🔋 👍👍

Just literally got this phone this past Saturday. So far I'm loving it. My old phone got hacked, and well I'm kinda glad now that I had to get a new phone. So far no complaints 👌oh and I have the same color one that you used in this video, I bought a clear case that has glitter on it, so while it's in the case you can see the color (purple) of the phone it's very pretty. 😊

If u want the S21+, highly recommended to get the Ultra because it's the true juggernaut in the series, significantly more advanced than the rest of the lineup. Plus it got 512GB variant although at even higher price haha. IMO, S21+ represent the worst value in the series. It is very similar phone to S21 yet charge for $200 more which also the same as price premium for the Ultra. It's either S21 or the S21 Ultra. Maybe if you could find deal that can narrow the price difference from regular S21, maybe $100, then it's ok. Hope this helps.

Yeah I got a LG v60 instead because it has better battery life a quad dac headphone jack and SD card. Plus the four microphones on the LG will destroy any video recordings as far as audio it's not even close. This s21 series is just a race to the bottom with apple ripping out features unnecessarily deciding what consumers need instead of what consumers want it's the Apple Way and Samsung is right behind them now that LG is out of mobile they really don't have any reason not to.

Yes. You get wireless charging, a much better camera, a choice if you want the camera to look Natural or Normal, and quite a few very good new specs.

I honestly would not recommend upgrading to the standard S21 / S21 + if you are already rocking the s20 FE. You just don't get enough upgrades to justify the cost. But, with the S21 Ultra, there are more than a few SUBSTANTIAL upgrades there to consider. If you wanna upgrade I recommend you check out samsung's trade-in program. I just traded in my S20(bought for $700) for the s21 ultra, galaxy buds pro, 4 months of youtube premium, some xbox controller with 3 months of game pass, and a smart tag for $590. I could easily justify that price.

I was waffling back and forth between the two as there are tradeoffs between display, battery, and cameras. Well apparently the FE only has Gorilla Glass 3 (2013), and that's enough for me to choose the S21 since I plan on keeping the phone for 4 years

@@gtone339 Agreed... It would technically be a downgrade for me to upgrade to the S21 because I'd lose the SD card slot and have a slightly smaller battery, and it's more expensive. No point at all. I'm not sure Samsung's marketing strategy behind the new S21. For me, the S20 FE 5G is superior.

I currently have a s9+ since 2018 and everything that was released after is backward and dictating! there're actually a lot of concern for the whole S21 line. S21 Ultra is perfect, indeed it's. but 1200 dollers is still a big concern. but of cos if ppl are get used to buy "ultra", it's the cheapest ultra anyways. The S21 is just imo cut too many corners on the most important aspect. First, it's screen, flagscreen is okay but maybe Apple and Google just gave a wrong illusion ppl like small phones. and small phones have another consequence the small battery size. The S21 plus just have too many downgrade for 200 dollers. if ppl are paying 1000 dollars for plus, should rather pay 200 more for the ultra.
