I agree about the SD card. I've used one in my Samsung Galaxies for six years but noticed that I just don't put anything on the card. I never use even a third of the internal storage. With Google Drive storage, Adobe cloud storage, and Samsung's own cloud storage I just don't need the SD option. Just got the S21 Plus a few days ago and opted for the standard 128 GB model. BTW I came from a Note 9 with a very high res screen. Never noticed at all the lower res of the new S21 Plus. Very happy with the screen and the refresh rate.

The main upside with SD cards (for me) is transferring files (such as ringtones) from one phone to another. Once I do the transfer, I never use the SD card. The days of needing an SD card to supplement your internal storage are gone (unless you’re a power user and need hundreds of gigs of storage)

It would've taken next to nothing to just have the dual SIM slot act as SIM + SD Card, it would've taken next to nothing to build in a 3.5mm jack, it would've taken next to nothing to put it in a decent charger brick into the package. This is all that it took. I actually really enjoy the glastic back. Got to try the phone yesterday and if you had told me it was some type of coated glass I wouldn't have known. It has a great feel to it, looks perfect in matte, and reduces weight. The only gripe I have with the design is the frame. WHY make it glossy instead of having it brushed and matte as well? That would've made the design perfect for me.

I've got Tab S6 and I have hard time thinking about going back down to full HD other than the fact my current phone is the iPhone SE 2....120 hz does catch my interest in addition to One UI 3.1....but I love iOS simplicity and improvements with T-Mobile Max plan on the phone screen and 60fps on 4.7" is sweet!

Waiting on a 256gb model. It's going to be a great upgrade from my S10e which has been a fabulous phone. I bought the S10e 20 months ago from B&H for $550. Getting $550 trade in. Hard to turn down. People need to get over this has to be a glass back to be premium. Announcement, glass breaks much easier than polycarbonate. Once you case it who cares anyway.

I agree with your statement, I upgraded from the Note 10+ because I didn't like the boxy build, the s pen or the huge screen. I now have the s21 and I love it. For those who want a new phone and they have the s10 or s10+ etc. You should go for it. And for those who have the s9+ and below it's a no brainer upgrade.

when I spoke to samsung representative, he mentioned that new SD Chipset doesnt work properly with SD Cards. In fact, it will run way faster like iphone so samsung has decided to remove it.

I had the tough choice between a one plus device vs a samsung device. For me they trade blows with each other but ultimately decided on a one plus 7 pro. It's so speedy for being a older gen device. The in hand feel and near stock makes it fly. That uninterrupted display is always nice to look at.

My s10 cannot software update & I had to factory reset it several times to get it to work normally. Now it does work but can still not install software update & sometimes apps keep crashing. I saw a report that Samsung decided to scrap the SD card because it's no longer needed. These days data storage is sent off to cloud servers where it's safe from damage, loss or theft. SD card storage has been cancelled by newer technologies.
