I have both, unlocking the phone is basically why I use the iPhone over the s23 ultra as my daily driver. S23 is unreliable especially with a screen protector or if your fingers are wet or dirty. Face ID on the iPhone is flawless no matter the situation.

Lower price is only beneficial for those looking to buy the phone, for everyone who has it already a bit of a slap in the face, now my $1200 phone is going to be worth a third of the price if i sold it privately. I don’t know why KZbinrs say “benchmarking isn’t important”. It’s really important and it’s one of the main reasons iPhones have way more longevity than other brands. They future proof their phones. You don’t see that much difference now because it’s the way iOS priorities work, and most apps load less than half a second slower, which is negligible. Also I don’t think testing with a whole new beta OS isn’t a fair test, as they are in developer beta 2, it seems pretty early stage for them to be polishing the general performance of the device. In terms of overall performance I still think Apple is the endgame, although I do prefer every other aspect of galaxy 23 ultra (maybe except the cameras). Believe it or not, the one thing that bothers me the most in iPhone are it’s squared shape edges and the freezing weight. That thing feels like 1 pound. Also, the screen’s round corners are a bit annoying.

Well the iPhone even the 13 pro I had was smoother than my S22 ultra. I think it was just the S22 ultra was so buggy for me. I love getting updates faster for apps. I love how most apps seem more optimized for IOS. Also the biggest thing for me is OS updates. I would wait sometimes a whole month after an update would drop to actually get it. With my IPhone 14 Pro Max as you know you get your update at the same time as everyone else. I don’t have to think oh this KZbinr got the update hopefully I got mine. Or the dreaded after I got my S22 ultra. Oh, great I’ll see mine in like a month. It was kinda fine when it was a feature drop, but if it was something that was making my phone mess up I would have to deal with the problem significantly longer than others. I know that was my carriers fault. But, with Apple there is no reason to not have the update the same day as everyone else.

Yes, my Exynos S22U was absolute garbage and a shameful rip-off by Samsung. Worst phone I have ever owned and used it as a trade-in for the S23U. The S23U is like a phone from another decade, going from the dark to the light. Thank Qualcomm for sacking Samsung Fabs as that meant Samsung could not dump their useless Exynos on Europe this year, as they would have been seen in terrible light.

For me i got the 14 pro over the s23 ultra because for my preference i honestly prefer the compact size of the 14 pro and it will last a few more years of software support than the s23 ultra and longevity matters to me , now in terms of speed i went to both stores and tested these phones and honestly i didnt notice a difference in speed

Anybdoy showing the iphone being quicker is rigging it by turning on or off things on the samsung. Nice to see your test being legit. Also all of the ws iphone got before the s23 ultra was optimized is now gone. The s23 ultra is legir faster now even with opening games which is insane. But its always played games better for longer anyways. Even before the optimization lol.

With Samsung sales dumpster-diving they are offering a lot of discounts and deals to avoid disastrous Q2 profits. After losing 95% profits in Q1 there is no surprise that Samsung are trying to get rid of stock with deals. On eBay if you do not mind buying secondhand, prices of S23U have fallen through the floor, where as iPhone 14 Pro prices, despite nearing end of life, still holding on much better. Both are great phones and I could not disuade anyone choosing either, though I would wait for iPhone 15 Pro Max if you are looking to buy soon. Although that will be much more expensive than discounted S23Us, it will be a fairer comparison as the 14 Pro is now nearly a year old. Looking forward to what 3nm brings, even though we wont see that in Samsung phones until 2025.

iPhone 14 Pro Max and S23 Ultra were released only 5 months apart. They are natural competitors. By the time iPhone 15 gets released the S23U will be 7 months old. Right now it's a fair comparison, no matter how you slice it. But if you are in Apple's camp it's definitely worth waiting for the 15

@@engineer_alvmeh, Samsung did that on purpose, if you looked at their release date since the first Galaxy (June) to their most recent Galaxy (February), it’s been pushed closer and closer to the first of the year as Apple has traditionally kept the September time frame since 2010-11. Samsung did this to be compared to the older iPhones but not be compared to the newest iPhone. So while the Galaxy series might be compared to the older iPhone, just know Samsung did this for a reason.

@@thesocialintrovert don’t want to be that guy but the chipset used in the S23 series is actually modified and optimized by Samsung. That chipset isn’t the same chipset that released in the iQOO 11, so technically it’s a 2023 chipset. That’s why the battery in the S23U is much better than its fellow SD8Gen2 phones that launched earlier and almost competes with the iPhone. I say almost because it’s kind of fallen off, it got beat by nearly an hour in TechNick’s battery drain test.
