@@Murderpartyhandsup have one too and he's absolutely correct, held it in hand at the same time with a s23u and went to all matched camera settings looking at both - they are practically identical in real life situations. you just get slightly warmer colors in images and a few tiny extra detail here and there but it is very very close. and for someone like me who likes to take raw photos and work on them in lightroom the software processing differences do nearly nothing, might check the s25u next year but at that point i will probably be using a professional camera so whatever.

Incredible how the S23U looks so natural in video recording, without exaggerating the contrast and overprocessing the finish, that made the result so flat in others phones, so smartphone-like, now it is taking another road, more natural without neglecting the good colors and HDR to impress.

I changed from 21 ultra to 23 ultra and I can firmly say there's very little difference, the difference for me was battery life and the new chip which is awesome vs the exynos in the 22 ultra but that's it

Thank you very much for this vs 🙏🏽 Honestly, and it's not because I'm an S21 Ultra user, but I can't find the other 2 really on top. And the one I even prefer the least is the S23 Ultra, in photo-video, the foreground is very often underexposed, and the background is always overexposed, and the colors are either too saturated or too washed out, without forgetting this kind of yellow-orange filter present on almost all photo-video, it looks like an iPhone from the 11 range 🤦🏽‍♂️ The only thing that the S22 Ultra and especially the S23 Ultra handles better than the S21 Ultra is default auto exposure for night videos but like I said default auto exposure, to fix that on the S21 Ultra, just lower the exposure and lock it, or just shoot at night using the pro mode (you don't need to know anything about it, without changing any settings and just using the automatic pro mode, you have almost the same results as on the S23 Ultra). Frankly, at the moment, I don't see any smartphone on the market (and especially not the S22 and S23 Ultra) that convinces me to let go of my S21 Ultra Snapdragon 12/256G bought for $600 new last year. Ps: I've never had less than 8h30-9h SOT with this smartphone, and unless you have a model with poor battery 🔋 life, no S21 Ultra user should switch smartphones currently.

Well, unless you prefer the more boxy desing and the Spen integrated like me or care about portrait video in 4K which is VERY GOOD on the S23 ultra, in fact best portrait video I've seen on any Galaxy phone I've owned I see no reasons why anyone should upgrade from the S21 Ultra which is still very capable but it's all a matter of personal preference and likings. Really awesome comparison. I really enjoyed watching it. I think the difference is totally negligible and the only difference is the new 8 gen 2 chip for batter battery efficiency for the S23 Ultra apart from that nothing has changed since the S21 Ultra!! All of what was said in the media and the leaks before the release of S23 Ultra is fully false and it's clearly done to motivate customers to buy the latest phone from Samsung! Please keep comparing the S23 Ultra against older phones like the Note 9 and the Note 10 Plus. Thank you brother.

Yes, those comparisons are also coming for sure. What I keep noticing is that the only real improvements are with the zoom capabilities. The main and Ultrawide are basically the same and in some cases slightly worse, it's all hype. I think that the S23 Ultra needs another camera update. I haven't tested the S22plus only the S22 Ultra but I'm sure the results are basically the same as the S21 Ultra except you won't get 8K video and 100X zoom but you'll get one more year of OS update which I assume might not be that important to you if you have kept the S8+ for so long but it's sth to have in mind anyway.

Yes, exactly, it's like a whole different level sensor. Most people don't understand that over saturated and over sharpened photos of s21u are not good at all! You could easily make s23u photos look like s21u in terms of color and saturation and sharpening, but you could never add the extra detail and much better background separation of s23u by editing to s21u or s22u photos.

Great video. I own the S23 Ultra and it has been great. I also own the S20FE 5G and that phone performs great. I do a lot of cycling and wanted the extra zoom of the Ultra. I use to carry a separate Lumix TZ30 sometimes, until I lost it on a ride in May. I have newer and better Lumix TZ cameras and after losing the camera got the S23 Ultra. I have done some comparison photos with my other TZ cameras, and the Ultra is not giving away much in terms of zoom. My Lumix TZ90 has more reach, but when you out cycling, the less you carry the better. I think your gimbal setup made the S22 Ultra look more wobbly in the selfie video. I am sure in other videos, the S22 Ultra didn't have that issue. When some of the latest updates arrive for the S23 Ultra, you may need to do update tests. We are waiting for the overdue August update to arrivein UK.

What a fantastic comparison video. I have a standard s21 5g and want somethingbwith a sligjtly better camera. I honestly think I will save my hard earned money and go fo a much cheaper s21 ultra. It will be a big improvement photographically for me but cant justify the expense of the s23u as there is hardly any difference and not one to warrant an extra £800 on top. I like your channel you do the best comparisons with the Galaxy Ultras. I wanted to buy the S 21 ultra a couple years ago, but my son needed an iPhone and my carrier had a buy one get one free so we ended up with the iPhone 12 Pro Max instead. I don’t care for the iPhone and I’m very underwhelmed with the camera that this 12 Pro Max has. After I watched your video, I bought a refurbished S 21 ultra on Amazon. I bought it for the camera and as a backup phone.

Looking on the dynamic ranges and clouds 🌨️ ☁️ interpretations on the s22 ultra 💯 They're all great but the s22 ultra is the G.O.A.T when it comes to clouds 🌨️☁️ interpretations and dynamic ranges.... nevertheless the s23 ultra the king when it comes to smoother transitions and stabilization, including the night time results,i think 🤔 the s23 ultra still have edges in nightography but the s23 ultra is much more saturated not looking naturally as more of real time pictures, Portrait videos is not looking good in the s21 ultra it lack stabilities. but overall they're all almost near-matched. Excellent comparison 👍👍👏👏 Keep it up soto-tek ❤️❤️💯

Wow, Samsung's old models already had no ghost phenomenon, and the camera lens was so good compared to Apple, but I can't see the ghost phenomenon of the Galaxy s23 Ultra at all. I ruined my vacation because most of the nighttime videos and photos I took with my iPhone on vacation in Barocellona were full of ghosts. So changed my main phone to Samsung.

I just have changed from 21 ultra to 23 ultra because I got one on a very good price. The battery lasts much longer on 23 ultra and this is definitely a plus between them. Photo quality seems the same, videos are colder in colour and with less saturation, which I prefer, looks more natural. For my surprise the moon shot on 23 ultra is worse than 21 ultra. Overall I'm happy.

To understand which camera is more colour accurate we need to be there to see with our own eyes the four. For instance at minuter 2.05 when it start zooming on the building if I could see myself the colour of those bricks then I would understand if the colour is more like in the S21 that put more black or closer to the other 2 phones that use more yellow.

They are very close or basically the same for the most part. There is a slight colour change in all of them depending on the lenses but not something that would change the quality of the pics drastically.
