16:16 Man, this is one of the best things to talk about fr. I heard often people complaining over mobile provider etc. But in the end it’s not the provider, it’s the hardware. Samsung do a great job in therms of connectivity. Since the original iPhone apple has problem with connectivity.

I think now that Samsung is committing to 7 years of updates, resale value for their flagship phones will start to go up. A few years from now, someone who just wants a secure phone can get a used Galaxy S24 and still get 3-4 years of updates.

Unfortunately this won't happen until Samsung stops with its promotions/sales. Their phones are always on sale, meaning it's never worth buying used unless it's significantly cheaper than what Samsung is offering new. With trade in incentives, sales, coupons, etc, the value is dropped out the gate. Apple holds its value because you can never find a sale on iPhones through apple. usually the deals are through carriers with some kind of contract/term

It's bad that you didn't mention that the Samsung S24 and S24 Plus have a SD chipset only for US and Canada. So considering that if you want the SD variant it'll cost you extra money to get it delivered from Canada for example. The Exynos while it's not bad at all it still has it's overheating and battery consumption issues which for me is another reason I'd pick the iPhone simply because Samsung made a really annoying decision to make the SD exclusive to the US

My Exynos has 11-12 hours of SoT and doesn't heat up. My experience is the opposite. My last Snapdragon device from the 700 series is actually the one overheating.

Onyx Black and Cobalt Violet are for some reason smoother and more comfy in hand than those which have silver rails, Amber Yellow, Marble Grey etc...Iphone 16 will have AI so I'm curious to see if it will be applied to camera software too

I've had Android phones my entire life, and then this past Christmas, I got an iPhone 14. I loved it up until the past couple of weeks (my battery capacity was draining quickly, most likely due to me being on beta updates). Then, this past Sunday, I went to AT&T and got the S24 Plus. However, part of me wants to go back to the iPhone. I did really enjoy it. I think part of me just wanted a better model (don't get me wrong, the 14 is an amazing model). I didn't like my camera zoom and wanted a better battery. Also, websites have better case offers for iPhones. If I had upgraded mine but stayed with the iPhone, I would have gotten either the 15 Plus or the 15 Pro. I feel like in school, especially, it's weird not to have an iPhone. It's almost like a social status, which pains me because I know there will be people who make fun of me. I think after my contract is done on this phone, I might switch back. The crazy thing is that I'm getting close to the same screen time as my iPhone 14, which had a 3279 mAh battery capacity, and this one has a 4900 mAh battery. That doesn't make sense at all, but I guess it comes down to the hardware of the phone.

For some reason, samsung went back to having the U.S. version of their phones to have the better chip. If you can, switch to the s23 where you get the same benefits as in the U.S. version.

Exynos chips are made by samsung, they are better performance wise I believe however more performance = more power typically so it calls for more power. The snapdragons made by Qualcomm are cheaper for samsung to use in markets where they have deals with Qualcomm namely the US. Therefore US versions of the S24+ will have better battery lives due to a lesser power consumption by the core.

I got this phone for my mother and it is still going strong and will receive updates for a few more years! 10/10 would recommend. (The gold one) it looks and performs great.
