People have run tests on FHD+ vs QHD+ in terms of battery drain and the surprising result is that there's practically no difference - so really, go enjoy the QHD+, you paid for it after all.

Here is a surprise about display settings to save battery life. "Lover Of Tech" did battery drain tests on and S24, Pixel 8, and iPhone 15 Pro MAX with different display settings and temperature measurements. He was shocked that the battery life on one of the tests was BETTER by 6 seconds with QHD than FHD. It was disbelief for him, but it didn't make a significant difference on any of them. His theory was data demands on the battery dwarfs anything else into insignificance. The only reason I can think of for going FHD is if you work on your phone from your PC, which I do. Thus, he concurs with you in that it might save a little battery, but it won't likely be anything you can measure, even in a timed drain test. If I can't see any difference I'll probably stick with FHD. If I can, I'll probably set it to QHD and switch when I want to remote into my phone.

I have a pixel 5 and I got the Samsung s24 what I miss most is the fingerprint reader on the back. Obviously it's hard to find that on any newer phones. I also miss being able to swipe up and tap select at the bottom but I found a workaround with the Samsung Edge panels, kinda. I just really don't like how Google decided to change the pixel to have the visor design on the back it makes it look so bulky. The s24 looks amazing and this is a huge upgrade the screen looks much more clear and I'm having fun with it. Looking forward to trying Dex

You can set it to open the search when you swipe down inside the app drawer. Quick, up then down gesture to have the keyboard open on search

Love your video super great helpful tips. I do have an issue for you or anyone else. The volume on all my phone calls is super low. Weather I use my Bluetooth or phone with my ear or the speakerphone the volume level is all of them which is super low. How can I fix this?? I have the S24 Ultra

Have you noticed that changing the screen colour profile from natural to vivid makes no difference on the s24 ultra?

There is a slight difference between the two, but it's nowhere close to what it used to be on s23u. I have doubts if that option is even called vivid anymore. My options are called bright and natural, but my menu isn't in english.

@@Kasper0822 Its Vivid and Natural in s24 ultra! But does next to nothing! I saw one video where they pointed out this issue and said that the DCPI coverage on the s24 panel in not 100% infact it was way off at around 80% whereas previous samsung flagships had 100% DCPI coverage! May also be a firmware issue!

Honestly I've noticed the heat of the phone quite a lot (maybe cause plugged in half the time I've used it), and though it could be placebo the light performance kinda helps quite a bit for games

Hi everyone, I am absolutely not tech savvy so I hope someone can help me out. I currently have NOTE 8 from T-mobile. I ordered S24Ultra (T-Mobile branded) and waiting for it to come. In order for me to keep my same number all I do is take the SIM card out of my NOTE 8 and put it into my S24 Ultra and thats it ? What if I want to get a new SIM card because my SIM card is "old" how do I go about saving my number ? Sorry to sound dumb but again I am not tech savvy at all ! Thank you !

No problem at all! You can simply move your sim, and I wouldn't worry about a new sim unless the current one isn't working properly. But you could just ask T mobile for a new sim if that's really something you wanted to sort out. Enjoy the new phone!!

First thing to do is complain to samsung that the Vivid colour mode dose not work on the S24 series so the colours look washed out compared to the S23U. Samsung are aware of the issue, ive contacted them already. If it cant be fixed by software thay said its covered under warranty and phones can be returned.
