I believe Samsung chose to give the S4 Ultra Violet a metallic finish on all edges, likely to enhance its durability and longevity. I've noticed with my previous Samsung device, where the color matched from the body to the edges, scratches could reveal the underlying color. With the S4 Ultra Violet, I expect the metallic edges to withstand scratches better in the long term.

Passed by a samsung store today, played with the s24 ultra for 10mins, remembering it was unpacked last night. I like the feel of the phone in the hand, coming from the note 20 ultra.

That is what I am currently using at the moment. I have been waiting to upgrade my note 20 ultra for a while now. I was thinking either this new s24 or the z-fold. Haven't decided yet. With all the new features, better battery, and camera upgrade I would be getting...I think this is a good time to go for it. I had almost gone with a Pixel a few weeks ago, just to try out a different ecosystem, but I can't say no to the Samsung screens anymore. They are the best in the phone market and have been for a long time. Plus, the camera on the ultra looks incredible and competes with the Pixel, which I was considering for a little bit.

I think the S24 Ultra’s difference to S23 Ultra is how it is AI integrated, how it uses the features of translation and circling objects to search all done by AI

It's an incremental upgrade at best. Flat screen , 2600 nits, snapdragon gen 3. As an owner of the s23 Ultra, I'll wait for the z fold 6 and hope they use the best prototype designs and give it 100% to be as good or better than the Huawei mate x5 and Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche edition as first large foldable w integrated s pen. This upgrade is only for those who have the s22 or s21 or older , if you have the s23 ultra I recommend waiting one more year

Awesome quick review of the new s24 series. Note to mention: while the frame of the s24/24+ is aluminum , it is a stronger aluminum armor which is much better according to Samsung.

Please do comparison between S24+(snapdragon) vs S24+(Exynos). All those ai features are gimmicky not to mention they run in the cloud and not locally. Only North America and china gets Snapdragon 8 gen 3 in S24/S24+. For everyone else its Exynos 2400.

The Ai features that may cost money is dependent on Google, which is the main Ai third-party their using, if Google starts charging then yeah, also this only applies to the cloud based Ai features such as summarize feature and magic eraser like features.

But the Pixel 8/8 Pro wouldn't have to pay since there wasn't any fine print mentions of it like Samsung when they first release and they had a track record of keeping exclusive features working for their devices (i.e. unlimited upload of original quality media to Google Photos on their original Pixel, I'm still using this). So if they do charge money, it probably only start on their next device moving forward (Pixel 9+). On the other hand, Samsung didn't make much changes to their device this year yet putting basically half of only a handful of their new features behind a paywall after 2 years feels like a scam.

Here in India, S24+ is Exynos so many people skipped it. But I was able to get 512GB S24 Ultra at the price of 256GB S24 Ultra since I prebooked it, almost 100$ cashback from my credit card and we have this CC payment system called Amazon pay which has its own offers. So I was able to get S24 Ultra Blue Titanium 512GB for about 1099$ with no trade-in. My current low end phone is holding itself together with hopes and dreams so it made sense for me to upgrade.
