Great comparison. Sometimes the S24 wins, sometimes the Pixel 8 wins. I think the Pixel does better with the computational adjustments. Most of the time the Pixel won on the night time shots, but on the wide angle the S24 did a touch better on a few. Both solid phones. Grab whichever one you can get the better deal on.

Pixel 8 just blew s24 out of water for the night photos, neck and neck in the daytime.

50/50 but Pixel is about 200 euros less than the s24 in my country so for around 560€ the pixel is a great deal

S24 is Just somewhat better. It's about 50/50

S24 better for videos, pixel better for photos as google has google photos software built in

samsung is in many cases better by far. pixel selfies look pale and over sharpend. -clearly identifyable as a smartphone foto. pixel didnt improve that much (except video) since pixel 5. im a little surprised how samsung did improve in daytime fotos, because they finally got rid of their typical ugly oversharpening, and it has much more natural colours, compared to earlier models. definetly the right direction. dynamics is often better in nighttime too. on pixel colours in lamps are partially blown out .

The zoom comparison just shows how far behind the s24‘s 3x camera is. Except for its warmer colors, the pixel without a real telephoto lens is equally as bad as the s24… damn

I have tested both, the x3 on s24 is close to 67mm which the s24 ultra the x3 zoom is about 77mm. I have galaxy note 9 and X2 zoom is equal to x3 on s24 @@SEAN31680
