Feature wise Samsung doesn't have much more than what other companies offer. Yeah they have Dex but that's niche AF. Samsung definitely takes the w with customization & Google definitely could improve on that. UI wise the Pixel lineup is so much more clean & clear.

Snapdragon Gen 3 is only fitted on the S24's US model, elsewhere it's just the Samsung Exynos processor so the edge in battery life and performance over the Pixel 8 is blunted anyway...

From what I have seen, battery life is only better on the Snapdragon S24, not on the Exynos version. I'd love a tele lens, but I'm also a fan of the Pixel's photo look. Just more natural and consistent. Same with the software: Samsung's OneUI might be more powerful and tweakable, but I prefer the slick and simple Pixel software. Now I'm waiting for the Pixel 9 Pro to see how much it improves on battery life/efficiency/cooling and if it's worth the extra money it will cost. And I'll still watch out for the upcoming S25. Then I'll decide if it's time to upgrade from my current Pixel 6 Pro. One thing is certain: My next phone will be a more compact one! I can't stand the size of the Pixel 6 Pro...

You should mention that your experience was with the Snapdragon version of the S24. If you compare the Pixel to the Exynos version, the Pixel actually wins in terms of battery life.

Pixel 8 is the better value particularly if you get it on sale. S24 is more polished but I definitely prefer stock Android.

They are both nice in their own right. i really like features in both phones. The samsung UI/dynamic weather/etc in samsung phones, calling features in pixel etc I use to have LG and tracfone back in the day because i couldnt afford these kinds of phones. And i absolutely love stylus and wish more budget/mid range phones phones included them

If pixel 8 had the Snapdragon 8 gen 3. It'd be the best phone period. And if they wanted to keep AI at its core. Then it could be like "Snapdragon 8 gen 4, made for pixel." it'd fix the poor preformance, keep their amazing screens, design, etc.

First of all I love Google's pixel phones. I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy s series from the Galaxy S10 to a pixel 7 and it was a big upgrade. I love the glass back and I hope they do change the design of it iphones are overrated and the consumer has allowed these prices to be so high and people people are very uneducated and they talk crazy like calling the pixel phone like a flagship it's only $100 cheaper then the s24 the amazing thing is the pixel 7 cost the same price as a pixel 8. Also iPhones are overrated and you get a iPhone with 64 GB and a battery that has to be charged twice a day The Google pixel phone is probably the best because of its software and it allows you to do more things. I was amazed at all of it software

I Had a pixel 8 pro first, and then UPGRADED to the s24 , because the pro had software glitch problems, and kept overheating, so there's no wayyyy the Pixel 8 can be better, also it doesn't have a telephoto lense the s24 does you'd have to get an 8 pro.

Pixel 8 seems like last year flagship when compared to Galaxy S24, the internals are much better with the S24 starting by the chipset, battery life etc. I would definetly recommend the Galaxy S24. I still use Pixel 7 myself, hopefully Pixel 9 will be good enough to upgrade.

Had both, I liked the pixel because of android stock and cameras, it's a really nice experience overall, the screen is great but not top notch and the speakers left to be desired The S24 has a better screen (that's the way I see it irl) the cameras are nice, not quite pixel like but you can always install a gcam, battery life is miles ahead of pixel 8, the speakers are great but it's not as comfortable as the pixel 8. Rn I'm rocking a S23 ultra and if not because of functionality, I'd use the normal S24

I think as of now S24 is better option as Better Display quality with aesthetic even bezels Better battery life Better speakers - Better processor as u can rely on snapdragon more than tensor in long run & bcz they both offer 7 yrs of updates it should be considered + at present also s24 would be more preferable in power hungry tasks like gaming, editing etc. As of cameras I do like pixel photos but at some points it’s behind I guess like the edges of the portrait selfie in your video ( there is some color differences) + in the face and background too u can see Samsung is highlighting shadowed areas much better be it trees or something else & of course s24 has telephoto - Video u already mentioned s24 is better - And for someone who cares about ecosystem I think Samsung now has its little edge in this too over pixel
