Got my hands on the S25 Ultra and admittly im too fast for my own good and this phone has kept up with me so well i actually never notice any lag or slow down. Gaming too it runs so well. I cannot recommend this enough for gamers on phone.

S24 ultra is also a total beast with its speed and efficiency. It's been a year and it still runs games like Genshin Impact with basically no lag, and I never notice any lag issues with normal use

So im looking to get a phone with mainly good UI, really nice and long lasting battery, top notch gaming for games like wuthering waves, pubg, mobile legends, etc, nice audio, Decent camera. So I've been considering the Oneplus 13. It has really nice UI, and gaming aswell as the cooling on it is insane, but I've been considering the s25+ aswell, as a 4 year user of the samsung s20 FE from 2021. My question is, how would the s25+ compare to oneplus 13 in gaming and battery wise long term around 3 - 4 years of usage? I've considered the iPhone aswell and have used it, but compared to android, it heats up alot while gaming, though the gaming experience aswell as game optimizations are really nice, but the battery long term and heating will be an issue.

I upgraded from the S22 Ultra and man, after one week, I am loving it. The screen seems so much bigger even though its almost the same size. The new UI is really nice and I have nothing negative to say so far. I am not happy about the bluetooth being taken away in the S pen but I used that feature maybe 2 times a year. The curved corners make the phone much more comfortable to hold and the phone feels so much lighter. Also, even though the battery hasnt increased in size, I am able to go a whole day and still have half my battery left. The phone cost me 699 with my trade in and I think it was well worth it. I loved my S22 but the curved edges got annoying, I had burn marks in my screen, and the battery was showing signs of degradation.

I enjoyed your personal experience as review. A nice touch. The filters are not new. They have been there since Galaxy S4! As far as custom filters are concerned: have you ever checked your S24? Actually, even the custom filters have been there for years. All long before Apple introduced photographic styles. The only new thing is that Samsung announced it this year as a new feature. I think their marketing team has now idea what their devices have been able to do for years.

a short list of features the S25 ''ultra'' lacks that previous samsung phones did have: -headphone jack -micro sd-card slot -S-pen with bluetooth -10x optical zoom camera -heart-rate sensor -dual aperture camera -iris scanner -extra mappable button

-headphone jack = wireless headsets are more popular and practic (i hate have my wires get caught on places and having my earphones yanked out -micro sd-card slot = slows the processing of the phone and compresses files, also people would buy cheap ones and then complain about shitty pic quality and corrupted data -S-pen with bluetooth = barely ever used this...situation are to nich -10x optical zoom camera = people complained about 10x optical because 5x digital zoom was trash now yall want it back -heart-rate sensor = again...watch and ring..having a dedicated sensor on the phone takes space and is a dumb idea most people who work out rather have the watch for that ⁃dual aperture camera: that i actually agree, having the possibility to change the aperature was amazing -iris scanner = figer print and face is a lot faster...the devices that had that would always have issues -extra mappable button= eventually i believe phones wont have any button but the power ....volume can be toggle from the side of the screen via sidebar or something to that idea...watch that happen haha.

@@CanadianShishaGuru plus, if you truly want the best audio experience, you'll want to avoid using your phone's 3.5mm jack anyway. So far only LG and some other phone models actually used a quad DAC for their headphone jack and they're extinct now. So without it, it's better to use a cheap dongle DAC that only costs less than $20 to greatly improve sound quality. Though I disagree with the SD-card slot, you just don't use it to store your apps and you're good. Only store files, videos, music and whatever junk you have and you won't notice any difference.

Returning mine after a week of testing. Display is very pink vs my S24U with identical settings. Samsung says it's the new coating. Hoping the S26U gets improved cameras with bigger sensors, 10bit display and real innovation

One plus 13 went from s24 ultra to one plus 13 battery last day and half with over 9 hrs of screen on time. Until Samsung can do that I'll go back.

Great review! Although the S25 offers some upgrades, the S24 has the premium look, edge corners. 10:55 The screen with corners, looks like a mini-flatscreen tv. Hopefully, the S-Pen downgrades do not signal an inevitable removal of the stylus.

When you increase the system vibration to its maximum, do you notice an annoying rattle from the Spen due to the vibrations? Removing the Spen eliminates the rattling, and even lightly pressing your finger on it while it's in the phone can stop the noise. I didn't experience this problem with the Galaxy S24U!

I've been using a Xiaomi phone for 6 years and now moving to my new S25 Ultra is already a massive upgrade for me. It is a better S24 ultra to me because of the added AI features, and the S-pen bluetooth doesnt matter to me as I already use my samsung watch 4 gestures for that.

I'm was Samsung hardcore, but you didn't mention what they took away. The Bluetooth S-pen. WHY? SMH. That was the reason I like the S24 Ultra. The other S25 Ultra stuff is great, but I don't see the reason I won't pass up other phones now. It's just a stylist. Just away to navigate around your phone. It's just an option at best. The S24 is heavier too. That's my preference but I know lighter is supposed to be more advanced but the S24 Ultra just feels more substantial. I'm not saying I won't get one yet I have to consider other phones now. 😌

I upgraded from the s24u because mine had a bad display. I had awful gradient color banding and grain. It was worth the $400 to upgrade. I would have preferred the vivo but since they aren't regularly avaible in the us so s25u it is.

Is the smooth zoom changing cameras? In my tests it seems that it is NOT hence why without smooth zoom it looks choppy, because of the lens switching. Is the iphone switching cameras mid recording?

Yeah with the 8 elite samsung s25 u holds batery even less then the preivous galaxy, also supproting chi2 withoug magnets is a weird one, another thing upgrading one camera per year is a strange decision. Downgrading the S pen was personal... So I bought the s 24 ultra

S25U is Very disappointing No M14 panel No 6000mAh battery Same old cameras Same 8 bit display No BT spen Still 1300$ You can put those 3 lenses in the plus and it would better compete with oneplus 13 It still is competitive Antireflective display better software and camera than oneplus Larger 6.9 display and slim besels Just hard to justify the price Hope the negative feedback results in more aggressive discounts

10:52 well they should do like f/1.2 and one inch (or even 1.5 inch sensor) sensor would be amazing even as 50mp or 108mp. I think they cheep out at cam for ultra feels that they do nothing new on s25u vs s24u. well does not mattter since I got s25u over currently fold4, my fold4 was ok but not enaugh.

Yeah, Samsung and Apple definitely take advantage of their brand power in the West, overpricing their phones while limiting choices with carrier locks and ecosystem traps. Meanwhile, Chinese brands like Vivo, Xiaomi, and Huawei are pushing boundaries with better specs, innovation, and affordability. I am lucky to live in a place where I don’t have to worry about whether a phone will work with my network. I have the freedom to choose from different brands instead of being forced into Samsung or Apple, which take advantage of customers. Thank God for the Chinese, who have shown them how to really make a phone!
