Stylish Girly sounds like you may have a bad battery, this is just a opinion, further testing would have to be done (assuming the charging port works). Just from my experience, when that happens the battery isn’t retaining the charge, not enough charge, the phone won’t turn on.

meh u could ve just hard reset volume down + power button i didnt drop mine and screen touch just stopped workin all of a sudden and i did every damn thing possible software weise i reinstalled the original framework and all but nothing happened still dead ..so yea sometimes its just harware crap

Sounds like you need a new screen, due to saying it has discoloration and touch issues on certain parts. Further testing would need to be done (sometimes damage is also on the board), but usually just a screen replacement should do the trick?

sounds like a board issue (you say it locks up then resets) , you can try do another factory restore, it probably wasn't optimized correctly (system files didn't install correctly). After doing so it should work fine, but if the phone keeps doing the same thing then its probably a board issue (further testing is need to confirm this), But if the screen is just plain unresponsive to any touch movements, then i would say you have a screen issue.

Norhing, one in recover mode just reboot the phone, which should be the first option. Now if you go to recovery mode, then select " Wipe data factory restore" this option will restore the device to factory settings and wiping all information on the device. Usually it should ask you to confirm before you proceed .

Sounds like your lcd is craked/damaged, whenever you have a line or discoloration on the screen, it's a sign that damage has occurred. Even though the screen might not be cracked, the touch part of the the lcd could have been damaged resulting in the display not working. More tests would have to be done to confirm this, but I think a new lcd would fix your problem.

@@gy5938 yes, depending on your make and model, Samsungs tend to have a pricy lcd which can range from $100 - $400. It all depends on the model, the more recent it is the more pricier It'll be. A lcd change will not affect any data on the device, so no nothing will be lost.
