I bought an Alpha 1 month ago and I didn't regret it. It's beautiful and fast. I can do everything what my friends can with their iPhone 6. Maybe they can do it a few seconds or microseconds faster but who cares?

Caleb Lopez Still no lag. Only unoptimized apps lag like Facebook or Messenger. It's hilarious that how can this phone run for example AC:Pirates or Real Racing 3 without a scratch but the shitty Messenger app lags. It's not the phone's fault. It's the dev's fault. There were some tiny glitches caused by Messenger by the way but nothing I couldn't handle myself. Since I'm not an iSheep, I can get rid of stupid bugs and glitches and I'm not gonna run to the nearest service to fix it. And take that. Even the fingerprint sensor still works perfectly. And I tried an iPhone 6 Plus since that and I didn't like it. They say it's easier to use. I didn't share this opinion. It's more complicated for me. But anyway, I still want an iPhone for my next phone. I want to try it for everyday use. But I don't expect significant difference. I just like tech. After the iPhone, I will buy a Windows Phone. So I want to try all the biggest players in the market. :)

I have the galaxy alpha and I love love it! The front camers and back are a little bad compared to the s5 but im usually in dark rooms. Also the battery on the alpha lasts me. Im in highschool and ill come home with 60% battery and with my old iphone it would be at 30 or less . I got the alpha because of the size its easier to hold and fit in my pocket compared to s5.

The S6 will have a design similar to the Alpha and Note 4 but have much better specs then the S5... you should probably get the Alpha so you could save some extra money in order to get the S6 which probably will come out March of next year.

ive got an alpha and personally. I LOVE IT. just got such a premium build quality and has android 5.1.1 on it so still fairly new. pretty much as good as s5 if not better. AND it looks so much better. the s5 just looks like some plasticky kids toy. dont get me wrong, i wouldnt mind an s5, but it just doesnt have as gooder buold quality as the alpha.

How about this people. just get the s5 go to Amazon, or Case Fanatics, Ali Express, or Ebay, and order a aluminum bumper case or all aluminum case they have different colors now your s5 will look as good as the galaxy alpha problem solved.

I'm going to buy a smartphone soon. A powerful, pocket-sized smartphone with premiere look. There are only 2 devices on my list: iPhone 5s and this Alpha. I am an iPhone 4 user for 3,5 yrs but I have also Galaxy Tab S. Both devices has their pros and cons, what confuses me even more. Should I switch to Samsung totally, or just diferentiate my ecosystems... iPhone "just works", with Samsung I had to instal from market other launcher, browser, email client, keyboard and file explorer (which does not have full access to my SD card thanks to KitKat restriction) because I don't like Samsung UI. Really tough decision for me... If only the Alpha would cost a 100€ less... What and why would you choose: 5s or Alpha?

If you are a Samsung fanboy, if you need a phone RIGHT NOW, you might get the Galaxy Alpha. Who else would get this? If you wanted a nice small phone, the Z3 Compact is right around the corner, plus there's also the Sharp Aquos Crystal. If you just like Samsung phones, Michael's right, the Alpha is probably a herald for what's to come in terms of industrial design on the S6. For the rest of us, myself included, who like the raw power of the Galaxy S line but want the build quality of the Alpha, we can stand to wait a few months and see what the next flagship will look like.

No micro sd card slot on the Alpha... that's a deal breaker. That's one of the main reasons to buy an Android phone. What Samsung needs to do is fuse both of these phones and make the s6 (or galaxy omega), that would be a beast phone.

Screw both of them, i'm getting my Note 4 in 3 weeks, to replace my Note 2. IF you want my opinion just wait for the S6 if you really want that small phone. I went from 4.5" to 5.5" with my Galaxy Note 2 and it is by far the most best decision I've made. I look at other phones with those tiny screens, especially those 4" IPhones. I think I would honestly get the Alpha. I can't stand Samsung build quality, and that fixes it. But I would definitely get the Note 4 before either of the two

I'm just a humble South Korean person, but a reminder to people who might buy the galaxy alpha (nobody would buy this now, but whatever): The Batteries are trash! Just used for an year or so, but the power started goin' off at 60% or something, then at 90% Bros do NOT buy the Alpha
