I love your image stabilising test. Wish more people would test this way. It's not how people would actually film of course but it gives you a greater sense of how the OIS works and the iPhone 6S+ wins by a long shot. The image is super steady while the others jerk around with a horrible jelly effect going on.

Anyone who includes Lumias in camera comparisons is awesome. It doesn't make sense that a lot of reviewers do best camera comparisons and the Lumias aren't even part of the group, yet the iPhone is. In no point in time did the iPhone ever have a better camera than a Nokia/Lumia.

can all this be summed up by the software used in these devices? Let's say all of these cameras are on the same level but the processing software used is the difference between them what then? Could an update to the software let's say put the LG ahead or the Iphone or even the lumia as many say the S7 wins but since MS is constantly releasing updates to the OS can it be possible to have such an update to the Lumia camera app that simply blows away the competition despite the hardware remaining the same.

This is great, in this video the 950 really shines... In my opinion the 950 produces the most natural looking colors, the G5 has the most shaky video (probably due to the dual lens) and the 6S+ gives you the feeling of walking on mars. The stabilization is a bit too much if you ask me! ;) 4 video's at the same time is awesome, but for more detailed comparisons side-by-side is best I think! (although 4 is great for having a good overview on all camera's)

Both, side by side or 4 split, works fine for me . I like the results of the cheaper 950 XL , Suggestion : Plz try to add a reference camera on your video , so we can compare more easily the accurate colors and the light of the pics and video shown. Some times we like more reddish or cool colors depending on the subject. Having a reference Camera would help a lot to compare . Keep up the Great Work !!!

950XL is pretty good, to me, the best one, also the S7, but the colors look very vibrant to be real, looks a little fake, the 6S seems to have a lot of computation in the image, didn't like, but it's good as well (Sorry for any grammar error. Greetings from Brazil) Nice video man

JerryRigEverything Thanks for the reply. Want to ask a question. What is your opinion on the S7 Edge screen? I'm thinking of getting it but have read that it's too weak. aka when dropping it. I take care of my iPhone 5 but still drop it once in a while. Still ok though. Also, people say that it misclicks/mistouches the edge a lot with normal use and that glare can be a problem since it reflects from many different angles.

+Eco I got s7 edge and it's great but when I'm outside or at work I have a case on it. Vrs design and Spigen are my fave rubber and hard plastic style cases - I don't like flip book case wallet style as its annoying to me. 👍 I hated Samsung for quite a while for being stupid with design and function and bugs galore. now after three months I not had any issues and minor issues like sensitivity was fixed with updates. exynos versions are better as it battery has been optimised better and runs games better. 👍 my only let down with S7 is sound from speaker though loud it's pretty poor which is due to water proofing.

It uses OIS and EIS, that's why. EIS is actually bad because it will cut off some of your video around the edges to make the image more "stable".

I think a side by side makes it easier to do a comparo versus trying to do 4 at a time. It would be nice if you could conduct panning left to right, showing how the cameras handle different exposures (light to dark and dark to light), how the camera handles walking in rough terrain (climbing a mountain path, etc) and even brisk walking. The test should also show focusing from far to near and near to far focus points, as well as low light shots. I know it's a lot to ask, but just my two cents. Cool comparo though!

Great comparison, woulda been useful to test out the low light and zoom, the Lumia 1020 has great zoom at 1080p given it's 41mp. Iphone has the best ois, and best DR, but it's wb pushes too much to the cool side of the spectrum. It's difficult to judge given it's only at day. Do another test in Low Light, we can't judge quality without getting the whole range of lighting conditions, lens flares, video grain, DR. A focus test and maybe throw in some vertical parallel lines to compare barrel distortion

Can u do a camera test with pictures instead of videos. I likes the lumia and the S7 but the lumias stabilization seemed weird. Another thing is I own a LG G5 and I dont find it looks like this. My friends 6S is pretty good but can you replace the 6S with a 7 I am looking for a new phone and considering the Lumia or the Iphone7 but I am a big headphone user.

For vibrant color the S7 is doing well. For detail G5 for sure. OIS goes to the Crapple iSheep handset. The Lumia is okay. From this I'd still choose the G5.

While I appreciate you asking people for opinion, as someone who was actually there while shooting and saw the conditions first hand, your personal take on these videos matter more than what I or anyone else who wasn't there thinks. We have no idea how green the grass was or what exact colors the flowers were. Since you were the one who was there, you really should provide your input as to which camera came closed to matching the scene as it was that day. Leaving that to the viewers seems inappropriate to me.

I put the G5 at #1. Has the wide angle lens. If you have used it then you know all other cameras fall short and having this feature should be standard. I get amazing pictures with both cameras. All the haters have never used this phone.

That's because it was focusing on the trees' reflection and not on the fallen seed pods. In most cases, people like when a camera blurs out what it's not focusing on. In that case, the Lumia does it best. The other 3 are likely the same when they are focused on the pods. Unfortunately the LG was focusing on something different, so we can't really make a judgement as many times a phone will pick the reflection instead of the close up :)

The Lumia looks the prettiest, with a bit too much saturation, though. S7 edge second place, then 6S, then LG G5. White balance was way too different in all of them. The detail looks the best on the Lumia, as well as the dynamic range. The iPhone's field of view is way too narrow. Thanks for the comparison.

The only clear thing is that the iPhone 6s plus has by far the best stabilization. Now in my personal opinion, although all cameras are on a very good level of performance there are a few noteworthy differences. For example i think the apple in general has a very balanced and maybe truer to life image and colour. Lg g5 is the warmest tone of all. I think i liked most the samsung s7 and lumia was 2nd best maybe?
