I just bought the same watch and was hoping you would say how to find the blood pressure place on the watch. I can't find it when I spin the dial around.

@@jeffdrury3034 It's up to the FDA. If you recall, during the Galaxy Watch 3's announcement Samsung revealed that its smartwatches earned FDA approval for ECG readings. It could show itself up by announcing the same clearance for blood pressure monitoring at the Galaxy Watch 4's launch. This probably means that BP might arrive with the Galaxy Watch 4 at this point. I'm just speculating here.

I bought it for the blood pressure monitoring as well and I love this watch. I'm waiting for the blood pressure monitoring to become available as well. Hopefully it'll happen soon

You can download ekg manually as well, just search a vid of YT. Its not released in India as well works fine

Not sure, but follow the instructions. Log in to your Samsung Health app on your phone and make sure the phone is paired.

I purchased this watch when I saw that it supported both ecg and BP. I had no problem getting the ecg to function however I was never able to get the BP function to work. I watched countless utube videos and even contacted Samsung support. After 3 weeks I gave up and returned it. If Samsung ever gets it's act together and is able to actually do what they advertise I will reconsider. What I liked about the watch was good battery life, ecg was accurate, the other apps were good.

@@charlesleonard9459 Sorry to hear about your experience with the blood pressure feature. Which part of the world are you at? BP is still not supported everywhere. Also, when you measure BP, make sure you place your arm on a table and sit up straight with your feet flat on the floor. You will need to download Samsung Health Monitor and calibrate the BP feature with a medical grade BP device 3 times. This means that before you can start measuring your blood pressure using Samsung Health Monitor, you must set up your profile and calibrate your Galaxy Watch. Great review! I was hesitant to buy this watch because of comments about the short battery charge, but for daily tracking of blood pressure, ekgs and O2, it's worth it to me to just charge it daily.

@@maryburge6964 i take off my Gaxy Watch when I do sports activities because the Mi Band is less intrusive and more durable (sweat, water, etc...). Besides, you don't want that nice leather strap to be sweaty and wear out fast.

I wish Samsung watches can be accepted in the AIA Vitality app. The Vitality award 100 points for each physical exercise using Garmin or Fitbit watches. It award only 50 points for other brands.

You should measure BP with BP machine and compare the result to watch.

I did. The results are impressive with a difference of 2 or 3. For instance, if one says 115, the other might say 117 or 118. They might be very similar as in 115 or 116 or even the same.

Well good luck with the blood pressure. The BP app is not even on my watch, I can't find where to download it, and I'm so pissed off trying to figure this out that I'm sure my blood pressure is through the roof. I got the watch in December 2020 and have been trying ever since.

Hey man. Sorry to hear about your experience with the BP function. Don't let anything get you aggravated that much man, it's not worth it, and your health is more important. If you're in the US, this feature is still not available. However, the problem is not with Samsung. The FDA hasn't approved it yet, and I suspect it will receive the approval along with the Galaxy Watch 4. Be a little more patient as I think they will roll out that feature soon. Good luck 👍🏻

With the Galaxy Watch series, you can receive HR alerts from your watch if your heart rate is above a certain level for 10 minutes when resting. To set up HR alerts, press the Power button or swipe up on the screen. Navigate to and tap Samsung Health. Swipe to and tap Heart rate, and then swipe to the bottom of the screen. Depending on your watch, you will need to tap HR and stress measurement or Auto HR settings. Then, make sure the heart rate tracker is set to Measures continuously or Always. Next, tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap HR alert settings. High HR and Low HR will automatically be turned on. Tap the switch next to each option to turn the alert on or off. You can also tap High HR or Low HR, and then swipe up or down to set the heart rate measurement you want to receive alerts for.

@@Seftyandra I absolutely love this watch and I had my doubts originally about it, but it detects falls and you can even send an sos message to someone or it can call 911 for you or your mom if she ever falls and it also gives updates on where the person is for an hour. I have my heart rate and stress on continuous checking and that does drain the battery some but I'd rather have it keeping an eye on it for me

Why does Samsung enable blood pressure monitoring for the Galaxy watches sent to reviewers? Samsung enabled the ECG feature a year early for the watches sent to reviewers. Adam Lash, you are aware that you are assisting Samsung in their false advertising efforts? Correct? As of this writing, Blood Pressure Monitoring does not work in the USA or Canada. O2 saturation did not work for nearly a year after the watch was introduced. The ECG feature was not enabled for more than a year and then only if the Samsung Watch is paired with a Samsung Phone.

Thank you for your feedback. I completely understand your frustration, but I would like to clarify that Samsung did not send me anything nor has any other third party sponsored this video. If a company sends me something, I'd mention that in the video. Such features have nothing to do with reviewers because product featuers vary for every region. The reason BP works is because it is supported here in Dubai, UAE. I am not living in the United States. However, Samsung US is not the reason why BP isn't available. It's because the FDA hasn't approved it yet. These things happen, and an example of that would be that we haven't received the ECG feature for Apple watches in the UAE until after Apple watch 6. This video, as is the rest of my videos, expresses my authentic experience. Read the rest of the comments on this video and you'd understand.

Blood pressure needs an inflatable cuff this watch does not contain one.

The Galaxy Watch needs the inflatable cuff only for calibration. Once your Galaxy Watch has been calibrated with a traditional cuff, the device measures blood pressure through pulse wave analysis, which is tracked with the Heart Rate Monitoring sensors. The program then analyzes the relationship between the calibration value and the blood pressure change to determine the blood pressure. The watch uses an optical sensor to read blood pressure using a technique called photoplethysmography (PPG).
