@@danielgoh9158 it's great for my lifestyle, used it all day today with 100% battery and the watch still estimates another 36 hours. Could be better if you like to track your sleep because obviously when it's charging you can't wear it. A 2 hour charge got it from ~35% to 100%, I would estimate you need about 20% to go through a regular work day. Hope that helps at all

I'm glad they put a pulse Oximeter on the Watch since they took it off the phone. I use it all the time on my S10+. I have to take several medications that can suppress my breathing so being able to check my blood 02 is really helpful in keeping me safe.

They combined the stress an O2 into one thing on the phone. You can still get your O2 level, you just need to use the measure my stress feature.

How accurate is the HR monitor during intense activity? Active 2 and older models have awkward drops even during steady-state activities like running and biking. I wonder if there is any improvement on Watch 3.

It shows as other workout, it even detects playing VR games as workout. Very sensitive and accurate.

It will count them as steps for sure. When I'm with my client during therapy sessions, we roll Play-doh into balls and it counts the rolling as steps

Do you mind sharing your wrist size in inches? Trying to decide if the larger one might be too big for my wrist, which is about 6.5 inches wide, and comparing to how it looks on your wrist may help. Do these sensors work through tattoos because none of the other new Samsung watches some the Galaxy watch 2 will not. Just as the new fitbits and garmins will not.

That's a really good question, I honestly have no idea. I think if the ink is thick and vibrant or black the light from the sensor will have a hard time penetrating the skin. I've had successful heart rate tracking on the inside of my wrist in the past. That's not technically how it's supposed to be used, but it worked for me. If the inside of your wrist doesn't have a tattoo, you might be able to use it that way for exercising.

Just got my watch and I'm already having trouble with the sleep tracking. It says I didn't go to sleep until 5:30am, but I fell asleep around 2:30. When I try to add that manually, it says they already have the whole 7 hours logged, but the main Health app screen only says 4 hours. I can't figure it out 🤷🏻‍♀️

It shouldn't just be for the newest phone. I'd try clearing the galaxy wearable app out of your recent apps, then reopening. Alternatively, you could check the app store for an update to the galaxy wearable application. If that doesn't work I'd give it a few more days and see if the update comes through.

I was looking forward to getting the Watch 3, but after seeing the difference there is really no point to upgrade from the first gen. Has the same chipset more hardware sensors and a smaller battery... What is the point of having a new fancy Sleep tracking when you won't be able to actually sleep with the watch on because it has to be charged. I really like the new sensors, but I don't think its worth the $400 price tag if you already own a gen1. It is 100% not worth upgrading.

Agreed, on the 42mm watch 1 it is already hard to use the sleep tracking if you want to use it for fitness tracking during the day. Not sure how even the 45mm one is going to cope this time....

i have the first galaxy watch and the active 2 which i used in water swimming activities in my house pool and both of them have hold the claim of being ip68. this galaxy 3 did not hold even just one swimming time after just 3 weeks of ownership. send it to Samsung care and they won't honor the warranty and want me to pay 220 for the repair. if you're planning to use it on water like swimming i would not recommend to buy it. update: received the watch from the repair center and the back cover of the watch was broken, 3 of the 4 holes that keep it on please where broken. and was hanging by the cable from the sensor attached to the main board on the case.

It doesn't connect on mine either, unfortunately. You'll still get notifications, but you won't have a dedicated "Google messaging" app on the watch. I'm considering just switching back to Samsung messages. It had some features that Google messages doesn't, like scheduled messages and the ability to set reminders for messages.
