I’ve been watch a few watch 4 videos I been convinced to buy and upgrade. Two big reasons for me are health tracking and Google play store. The health tracking on the watch 4 has been improved immensely from past galaxy watches that’s been my biggest gripe with Samsung watches. I like to workout a lot having accurate tracking to see how I’m doing is a must for me. Now the galaxy watch 4 using wear OS instead of tizen is a big win in my book. Having more access to apps from the Google play store including Google assistant and maps is awesome.

I had an S3 Frontier for about 5 years and loved it. I decided to go ahead and upgrade. I got myself the Watch 4 Classic (46mm) and am really enjoying it. I get 2 full days of use. I do like that it is lighter than the Frontier.

Still on my frontier....it's the best most expensive looking of the bunch. Not sure why weight is such a factor for people. It's a watch ...it ain't that heavy. Still might upgrade to the 4....though it looks cheap next to the frontier. Frontier is the king.

It's nice to see all the generations side by side to have a good idea about size difference/looks between the models. This convinced me to upgrade my og galaxy watch 43mm to the 42 watch 4 classic, loving all the upgrades. Yes battery life hasn't improved a lot but it isn't a big deal for me. Samsung knocked it out of the park this generation, the only thing I wish they could have included is MST.

I'm legit driving to best buy right now about to return the galaxy watch 4. Didn't open box. My girl bought it for my birthday cause she thought I wanted a new watch but I have the frontier. About the compatibility; Its not Samsung's fault that it cannot connect to iPhones. Since they switched operating systems, and now the watch4 series ect... run on wear os, thats is what restricts it. Wear os does not have ios support

I just picked up a GW4 for $40 to upgrade my OG. First complaint is the 4 charges SO SLOWLY. My battery life was never great because I got the rose gold with the 270 mAh but it would charge fully in less than an hour. Nothing beats the original Galaxy Watch's battery life. I get consistently 5.5 days battery life, which means I only need to charge it during the weekend.

I chose the S3 because of MST alone. A year or so later, it doesn't work 100% of the time. It barely works anymore, so I cannot count on it. I normally just use my card now for that reason.

Awesome comparison. The Frontier was great,but one of their last updates killed the battery life. I've had the Galaxy Watch for a couple of years and it's been great. I was jonesing for something new so I got the GW4 (today) on Samsung's try it for 21 days promo. Loving it so far. The bit emoji watch faces are 🔥. The battery life will be the deciding factor. I'm a charge it every day guy so hopefully it last the whole day with some to spare.

Honestly I wouldn't completely rule out the og GW It has the best battery life of the bunch and it is very very cheap (It goes for 70/90$ rn), that's a great smartwatch for who looks for basic functionality (Notification, Heartrate, Step Counter, Sleep Tracking) and doesn't need the latest and greatest and loves the rotating bezel, and besides it is a way better deal than the GW3 as it will remain on Tizen as well. If someone doesn't need or like a phisical rotating bezel there is the GWA2 as well that is dirt cheap as well and wasn't put in this video, same features of the GW3, lower price.

as someone who went from the Galaxy watch to the Galaxy watch 4, I'd say, if you wanna have google play store and google maps, then go for it. Other than that, it really felt like I downgraded. Sold my 4 classic and downgraded to the watch 3 and much happier with the 3 over the 4. Especially the band size. The watch 4 classic band size are smaller than the gear, original, and the 3, which when I got my 4 made all my watch bands totally unusable. Basically (and this is larger size watches), the older larger sizes use 22mm bands. The Watch 4 classic 46mm use a 20mm band. So if you had the smaller galaxy watch (41mm) then yeh you'd have no issue, but for those of us with big wrists who got bigger watches, then yeh you'd need to buy new watch bands cause both versions of the Watch 4 use 20mm bands. And in my personal opinion, the smaller bands on such a big watch just looks weird. To counteract the weirdness I ended up getting a UAG nylon band.

I had left a comment on Ckid’s channel about the same issue. I am a avid Samsung phone user but I wanted Apple to open up their watch to android users and I just don’t think it’s going to happen. I was ready to throw money at them too..I still think I would be a good idea but since at the time I had a Fitbit Versa 2 I was ready to level up to a more advanced smart watch. My husband got me the Active 2 but when the Gw4 dropped I traded it in and loving it!

I just bought a 46mm 4 since they're now wicked cheap. But I still stay with my 46mm 3 because of the watch faces. Google just doesn't any real good ones. Also I'm not a fan that I have to use face app that contain ads if I don't want to pay for a watch. Samsung just just check the free vs the pay no ads.

I need help! Got a promo going on with Samsung. Basically trading in Galaxy watch 1 to receive 170 CAD off galaxy watch 4 ( I'm going classic 46mm ). Getting scared with the battery life. Is it worth taking the jump? I Love the 3-5 day battery life on GW1 i get without sleeping with it and always on display off but wrist raise on. But I feel there's a big jump in software and UI with the new OS... I feel so torn

im so annoyed that they got rid of MST on the galaxy watch. they removed the hr monitor on the phone, but its better on the galaxy watch, so why keep it. but with mst, they also removed it off the phones, so why not keep it on the galaxy watch? its a small device, it is meant to be versatile and making payments is one of those versatile things and that means if you dont have your wallet on you and the checkout does NOT offer NFC, you're screwed if you have a new glaxy watch and a new galaxy phone newer than the s20. it sucks, why remove that feature samsung? that was the thing that kept people using samsung pay because "it works at ANY checkout card reader no matter what". at LEAST keep it on the galaxy watch

The Galaxy Watch was released in 2018 and the Watch3 in 2020. The Galaxy Watch Active and Active2 were both released in 2019. If Samsung hadn't skipped the number 2 for the Watch and hadn't ended the Active line, the 2 lines would have been perfectly synchronised in 2021: The Watch4 Classic would be the Watch3 and the standard Watch4 would be the Active3. No logic whatsoever, Samsung! 🙄

an update to thier wearables app on ios , can also be an apple block , or use wear os on ios but you miss alot of functions , i upgraded from the s3 fronteer to the 4 classic , the s3 still has a good batterylife even after having it for over 5 years , also own an apple watch 5 but never use it due to too many apps require the iphone to work , and even though it has 32 gb you are forced to use bluetooth to hear it , which is a shame , my fav watch is the kospet prime 2 a mega 2 inch round display with full android and no phone required
