I highly appreciate the love they give to Howard, the lost hero of the Disney Renaissance. His vision on how to meld the best of Broadway with animation was the reason the Renaissance happened. Alan too but Howard was the artistic compass that guided Disney and was most responsible for the Renaissance, I truly believe that. It’s good to see him finally get the appreciation he deserves through the words of the people he worked with and Don’s Howard documentary. All of the movies he worked on (except Oliver and Company since he only wrote one song for it and didn’t guide the movie with his vision) all became Broadway plays too. It’s sad he didn’t get to see the many fruits of his labors but I’m happy the world is finally getting to know him.
