​​@@seanmahoney2671it's the accent and inflections I think. the VA has a posh accent when she's voicing shadowheart, but the tone and pitch is pretty much the same as her speaking voice. But yeah, Tim has a great voice naturally, very pleasant to hear

I've looked up where I might have seen Tim Downie before and I saw that he acted in Upstart Crow and season 2 of Good Omens. I re-watched the bits with him in it and I can't disassociate his voice from Gale anymore. This is going to last forever 😄

It's crazy how much the voice actors of both Gale and Astarion look like their characters... Like it's not a 1-1 but there's definitely a resemblance! Idk what the other voice actors look like but I wouldn't be surprised if they all have a similarity to their characters

I totally got this love-hate relationship with Gale in game. On the one hand, I absolutely loathe him fawning over Mystra(and her Weave) and constantly reminding everyone around about it; on the other hand, I can't think of one scenario where I ever picked any other companion over him. I never swapped him out of the team on any occasion. He witnessed EVERY cutscene since he joined the group and I don't think I've ever felt regretful about it.

I absolutely love Gale, he’s definitely one of my favourites! So Tim had no idea about the romance stuff, and yet his romance is one of the best arcs in the game, in my opinion. His voice acting is amazing.

I know it’s not like having to do a sex scene with another actor for a movie, but I would’ve thought it was a requirement to tell actors if the role entails anything like that, now intimacy coordinators and other roles like that are involved even for VAs.

The funny part is, for me the boat scene wasn't even really too risque. I'm sure there are other ways that could have gone, but all my choices led to some very sweet but not exactly shocking dialogue. Would love to see his face if anyone figured out what the most popular paths were for people's choices, lol.

Yesterday Gale asked my character to meet him under a gorgeous night sky, poured his heart out and when my character offered to sit next to him through the night he was like “I’m afraid we’re not CLOSE, yadda yadda yadda”and his tone completely changed, and my character proceeded to sit next to him anyway. He was totally looking for pity sex or something but I must’ve snubbed him earlier and there was some incongruity with the scene. He must’ve seen my romantic rollercoaster with Lae Zel and Astarion, and sneaking a kiss with Wyll.

Lol Gale was the first one to come onto me in camp like out of nowhere and I found it strange. Come to find out the voice behind him also found it out of character. I think I appreciate Gale more now that I know the only reason he was creeping on me is his contractual obligation to try and sleep with the protagonist.

I don't think he comes onto you? The dude shows/teaches you a bit of magic and it is up to you to initiate the relationship. From what i remember he is actually quite shocked that you made a move on him. He only starts actively pursuing after you give him a sign and after enough appeal.

@@qwertyuiop-tk9rr Re: Loviatar; It really depends on your playthrough. With very similar party compositions I had Shadowheart, Astarion and Karlach comment on it. In short the whole party thinks it is hilarious if you let that priest mishandle you. they are all a bunch of sadists really :P
