I’m old enough to be your Nona and you are teaching me so much!!! I just retired and got a pontoon boat and need to learn everything. I’ve never had a boat, never came from a family of boaters but it’s something that I’ve always wanted. Thanks so much for helping me. I want to be able to take the boat on my own without waiting for one of my kids. I appreciate so much this channel!!!!

good luck getting your silver plaque! I love how confident you sound, I get that as younger persons and not being men, tons of real life boaters probably think you are on your daddy's boat and no clue. Thats sucks, but here on the internet we are looking for helpful content. My only helpful advice as someone who is constantly the "new guy" to the boating community is say things like "this is how we do it " because someone where else it might be done exactly the opposite. Thank you for the videos.

Hey just a trick with your draft. You can set that on your graph so it actually reads correct depth.
@Icutmetal3 жыл бұрын
Correct; but then you’ve got up account for your keel or drive offset, which is very critical. In my opinion, that should be where the depth offset should be set to.

BRILLIANT way to go GIRLS, you learn things the proper first time around it keeps you safe forever, the other guy was not young but the amount of people on his boat tells me he has experience , ( maybe not in sand bars but still ) dont have a boat never will have one but I want a inflatable Dinghy with outboard motor. what your teaching here applies to all boats, as a novice I would alway look to what other boat are doing positioning but you gals explain why in which is good education, Thanks for the education Ray K. I was always considered the wild child, the party kid, the kid parents don’t want their kids to be around unsupervised, but ever since I was 17 my parents trusted me out of my two goodie two shoes brothers to take the family boat out with my friends by myself due to my skills towing and operating the boat. And it made my older brothers and their friends so mad and jealous.

The OCD in me is wanting to come and put a fresh coat of paint on your engines, argh! 100K is quickly approaching, where's the party? But seriously, congrats, it couldn't happen to a harder working set of twins. Your videos continue to get better and better, love the drone footage. Another fishing channel I watch (Life by the Bow), puts out some incredible drone footage - I'm sure you could do the same with some practice. BTW, many of the boats I see off of Tampa anchored on those keys use the stern anchor as well as the bow, is there an advantage in doing so?
