Galiana Autumn Tour - Day 2 - August 22, 2022

On the 2nd day of the Galiana Autumn Tour to Les Sables-d’Olonne we’ve had quite variable conditions. Approx half of the time has been fantastic sailing and the other half motoring in light winds or direct headwind.
We have a tight schedule so we’re keeping a close eye on the VMG (Velocity Made Good i.e. Velocity towards the target), and as soon it drops, we have to start the engine. Our target is to get to the Kiel canal by Tuesday morning, so we don’t have too many extra hours to spend. So far the progress has been good and we’re on schedule.
During the day we started to try out a new 360 camera which Tapio will be taking on board Asteria for the Golden Globe Race.
