You can get heated blankets for the winter. They will heat the space as well as a heater sometimes. I live in a small studio apartment and if I light a candle it will warm the whole room. I hope that helps. Blessings

If you want to find native copper you should go east a bit around lake Superior. Would be easiest to find some in Michigan (Keweenaw specifically) but you could also stay on the Canadian side. Also lots of other gem and minerals around the area. Agate, greenstone, silver, amethyst, epidote, gold, iron, etc. Just about anything can be found here. The copper comes out of the rock here at 98% pure copper.
@GrandDungeonDad2 ай бұрын
You can literally find lumps of copper on or in the ground there it is truly hard to imagine. I worked in the UP of michigan for awhile and that area of the penninsula is so rich in lost history.
@rickschlosser67932 ай бұрын
I’ve held native copper. Years ago I was living in Yellowknife, NWT. (During the last gold boom in the early 1980s) We rented a boat on Prelude Lake and you could boat out to islands and pick up native copper off the ground. So soft you could bend it in your hands.

My goodness Dan, you Canalians {With a smile on my face. Love the Canadians that I have gotten to Know.} sure have some beautiful country up there. You also seem to have a lot of beautiful people too. I'm also envious of some of the natural resources that you have. Especially the gold prospecting opportunities, well, such as your pickerton claim and that crazy river with all that gold. LOL. Your videos put a smile on my face. Take care from Oregon.
@Jesse-zk9ge2 ай бұрын
Got a similar place here in Oregon called the Cornucopia mine. The only reason why they stopped mining it. Is that they run the risk of breaking a volcanic crater lake and flooding the town of halfway. Still baffles my mind about how much material that they just leave lying around in tailings and Road grapples. When you actually find a motherload you really do find a motherlode. It always reminds me of the dwarf mines from the Lord of the Rings.

There's an old placer mine not too far from me on the Bear River in Placer County that has thousands of tons of paydirt just sitting there that no one ever ran, they literally cut a road over 12 feet deep through the pay pile. I can't help but want to drive out there with a couple dozen empty buckets and a shovel and bring it home and see if I can find anything in it.

I manage an old copper mine we have opened to rockhounds near St Louis, MO called Copper Valley Mine. How much of what you are finding is actual Malachite, versus chrysocola? To my knowledge and according to people who have visited our place, malachite has to have a crystal structure, versus Chrysocola is more of a coating or a veining of material. If you see this, let me know what you think!

Dan, I’m with you on the spiders. I am terrified of spiders. God forbid if one gets on me. I go into total meltdown can’t breathe, start to stripping my clothes off while trying to run😂😂. Earlier this year I was down at our barn putting the horses. I felt something hit me on top of my head, well it was a black hairy spider. I don’t know who was more terrified me or the spider. I went to slapping my head, face and the rest of my body. I could feel him running around trying to get out of the way of my slapping hands. lol He finally fell off and I went to the house freaked out.😂😂😂 I enjoyed your video today thank you so much for sharing your videos
