SADF still uses it today as the R4, R5, and R6. Awesome battle rifle.

Thank you for this video. Nice to see a video from someone that has IDF first hand experience with the Galil ARM.

Awesome video! I got the chance to go to Israel last year and chat with some off duty IDF troops and Israeli police about the equipment they use.

Thanks! The stuff they are issued nowadays is a far cry from the gems that used to be in service years ago. To see those in Israel today, you'll need to visit the IDF Museum in Tel Aviv. Hope you enjoyed your trip!

Its the most expensive bottle opener I own; plus it has a rifle attached to it!

As much as I would like to have original galil arm, hard to find them. Had to settle for Ace

The best part of the rifle is that it can open bottles better than any other rifle ever designed.

The most important feature of all!
@jacobayers2391 Жыл бұрын
@@cherevgidon6707 I mean it sounds like a goofy feature but it gets really hot in the Middle East so something to open a soda or a beer is pretty genius actually on a rifle plus it stops people from using bayonets or mags as bottle openers so galil was really thinking ahead

I would be interested to know how the rifle shoots with the stock folded toward the ejection port and bolt handle or does it interfere with the bolt handle and/or ejection?
@cherevgidon6707 Жыл бұрын
Tried it and the stock folded does not block the ejection port. However, it isn't advisable to shoot it that way as there's no way to aim the weapon with the stock closed.

Hey man just wondering on the zeroing doctrine they used on these, I know its got a 300 meter setting and a 500 meter setting, what should my hold be at 100, 200, 400 meters? and most importantly what kind of zero did you guys use? I got a jra ARM and I know the original barrels were 1 :12 and the JRA barrels are 1:9 so thats also gonna play an important factor, but still interested in knowing how you guys zeroed those things originally
@cherevgidon6707 Жыл бұрын
In terms of how to zero it, one of our students who took the Galil course with us over a year ago made this video explaining the procedure step by step. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4uuhWB5r7yjetk In terms of where to hold, the 1/9 barrel may change where the bullet hits, but if you zero it at the 200, your shots should still be within a dinner plate size target at anywhere from the 100 to the 300. Can't say for certain since you're using a non-Milspec barrel with a different twist, but try it out on the range and see how it works. Good luck!
