I grew up watching Gallagher as a kid with my dad thank you for being you. I hope I always keep looking at the world with new eyes. Rest in peace.

This guy was comedic genius . Didn’t have to use vulgarity and or politics to the extremes to be able to get a laugh. We need more of that.

I’ve watched ALL your specials the day they came out!! You are BEYOND brilliant!! When people say, oh isn’t he the guy that smashes watermelons on stage? I said, that is just at the end....he’s wickedly smart!!! Watch the whole stand up! Any of them!!

One of my earliest memories is watching this comic genius on vhs. I was lucky enough to not really know the sledge o matic was his most famous bit as I wasn’t alive during when he was his most popular and got to enjoy the wonderful satire that works just as for kids as it does adults. I was especially lucky enough to see him live just before covid and even got to get up on stage with him. Wonderful man.

I met Gallagher in Knoxville, Tn, I couldn't think of nothing to say but "Are you working hard"? He replied " I'm getting to old for this shit". 😆 R.I.P

Some more of her wisdom: It's not a museum, it's a "you see 'em". It's not a cemetery, it's a bury patch.

@@premiumwater2017Jelousy makes people say horrible things. I will be the first to admit that I didn't care for his sudden, right-winged turn towards the end of his career, because he was always so apolitical in his early stand-up. He went after everyone, and deservedly so! Then, unfortunately, he became cranky, and his comedy also became one-sided. That's when he lost his edge. It totally turned me off, and I wondered what happened to the comedian that influenced my young mind in such a genuine way...

@@WeerdMunkeeI know, I got a box-set of his specials from the library and the contrast between his fun early shows and his mean, condescending later ones.

I really wish that Gallagher would write an autobiography. I understand that no one (including myself) wants to face their own mortality but the poor guy is really getting on in years, I've spent my entire life wanting to know about his before it's too late.
