You get so used to it that when all of that is gone you don't know what to do with yourself, you feel like you're forgetting something or that you overlooked something because forgetting something can honestly mean the difference between life and death. It can take people a long time to adjust to a life without life altering chaos. I think that's what he meant.

That was probably one of the most wholesome relationship handling they ever had, Mickey said he isn't comfortable, expressed himself and Ian noticed it and didn't get emotional, since he knows Mickeys character quite well, and if he would start pressuring Mickey to comming back, it would just end in screaming contest. They compromised and God is the witness its nice to see. Oh, and of course a bit of raw passion at the end is a good cherry on top 😀

my favorite part about this clip is that you can tell that they’ve finally learned each other’s emotional patterns. ian knows not to push mickey too much and to let him express himself slowly. mickey knows when ian is trying to unpack his feelings and when to question the things ian says and what he means by them. It’s really wonderful to watch them reach this level of emotional maturity.

I think it's happened because to become vulnerable you need to show your inner child to others😉. I absolutely love how Noel convey Mickey's emotions here. 2:04 Ian body language is funny to me here. They both look like old married couple, when Mickey is bad-tempered, emotional and speaking too much during fight as a truly wifey. Change can be frightening, especially for someone who needs to constantly feel in control of their own life. For Mickey, he has gain respect and recognition, living in that neighborhood for years.
