Dear sir, your videos are excellent, however I request you to please add color doppler findings to make the diagnosis more confirming, for example in cholecystitis increased muscularity on col dop,against absence of color flow in gangrenous cholecystitis, Also presence of color flow in polyp stalk against no flows in adherent gall calculi to gb walls, it will make the diagnosis more affeermative, 😊

Thank you dr Sam for your videos. They are very useful. I still find it difficult to diferentiate between the WES sign and the porcelain gallbladder. The photos in your presentation are very much the same.

Thanks for watching! It is sometimes difficult to differentiate between WES sign and Porcelain GB. However, there are few distinguishing features: WES sign is often associated with acute cholecystitis, fever and abdominal pain whereas Porcelain GB can be asymptomatic. Furthermore, the calcification in porcelain gallbladder involves the entire wall whereas in WES sign, it is localised and you will also find 3 distinct layers. Further evaluation with lab tests and even CT scan is helpful in diagnosis.

As per my knowledge if only 1 stone in Gb then we say Gallstone. But if multiple then we say gallstones or cholethiasis. Please share your knowledge.. Watt is according to you?? We can use term gallstone for single stone in Gb or not???

Thanks for watching! Yes, if a single gallstone is seen, it is stated as Gallstone. And yes, you can write Cholelithiasis in the report even if a single gallstone is seen. Cholelithiasis is a medical term that refers to presence of stones in the gallbladder, regardless of the number.
