Really appreciate you stating what type of tools you’re using like the Swiss number two flat hand file, because you can watch all of these videos with people who are younger jewellers and they don’t have your experience and I’d rather have quality tools than junk off of Amazon

Good to see you Soham! I’ve been gone a while. Want to thank you for your teachings. Lastly, I have a question. Have you noticed that at times when under jewelers hand pressure silver takes on the properties of a liquid? As when writing with wire or pulling wire through metal holes to make it thinner. It flows rather than cracks, even at room temperature. Have you noted this property? Or another jeweler? Is there a name for this phenomenon? Or has my cheese slid off my cracker? Thank you Soham!

Hello Soham, thank you very much for your new video. I have learned already a lot from you😀. How do you match it that the repeat of the design of the gallerywire fits exactly? A little stretching is possible, but what do you do, if the end of the wire which you need is in the middle of the design pattern? Sorry for my bad Englisch. Stay safe in this time. Greetings from Germany Maren

I experimented with rolling a jump ring maker mandrel inside the bezel after it is annealed, soldered, pickled. Working with clean metal will help with scratches or tool marks. Use a clean too also. Go slow, roll slow, check after 1 full rotation. If it is fine silver it will be very soft after the anneal, so go slowly, check often. Sterling is also soft but not as soft as the fine silver. I did not work with gallery wire but it was fine silver wrapped around a copper band, it was an experiment to test the idea. It will work to stretch the bezel just enough to enlarge without marking the metal if done slow and careful with full attention. Good luck.

How to match the ends of a repeating pattern? Good question :-) Figure out how long the pattern is (guess= 2.1mm, how long is 10 repeats) Is a join posible with whole numbers (exam. 16 or 17 or 18 repeats ?) If not go for a strech? or ad / sustract a little to the pattern at both ends? Make the join at the low point between 2 'peaks' in the pattern. Just my thoughts.
