the way new who structured the reveal of Gallifrey was genius. It started with Eccleston being tearful and internalizing his anger and sadness whenever he thinks of Gallifrey, then Tennant speaking of how magnificent and awe-ful Gallifrey was. He reveals in his last days that Gallifrey became corrupt and tyrannical in the last days of the war. Then Matt Smith came. Matt Smith's was particularly interesting because he never truly brought up what Gallifrey was like, just how much he missed it. Hurt was the side of the Doctor that caused new who's sorrow and pain at the thought of Gallifrey. Finally, Capaldi. Capaldi got us the most information of the Time Lords in new who. Rather than a literal doctor, the man is treated as a war hero and a legend, status that he earned rightfully for his species.

@@freezingclockhands and nothing has been explained on the Time Lord's along with the population of Gallifey. We see children but how are they created and born? The Doctor says he was a womb birth and in canon "looms" are used for birthing Gallifeyans. It's implied Time Lord's and Lady's reproduce with humans rather with there own race which is why they look human and why they can become fully human using the chameleon arch. Which tells you scientifically the chameleon arch contains the Doctor's human/Gallifeyan DNA. We know from the Meta Crisis Doctor DNA from both races are compatible. Same goes with River Song. Also from the x-rays of the seventh Doctor and the 3D x-ray of the Ninth Doctor they both have human skeletons. The Eighth Doctor had human eyes so he/she is part human. Makes sense for Time Lord's and Lady's to reproduce with humans especially human women because they cannot regenerate. Unless Time Lady's drink exlir to stop regeneration during pregnancy but that's never been seen in Doctor Who. The Gallifeyans must reproduce somehow and a explanation would be nice.

Until this day, I'm still not sure why he chose Maxil's face. I wonder if Time Lords have some limited databank of custom changes or if he took that face as a useful disguise for future use or if that face meant something more to him (that would've been a great topic for a third Colin Baker season perhaps), but the choice for the Doctor always seemed to be more emotional than logical, as if the subconscious had more influence over the conscious (maybe the Doctor respects its personas). For all his faults Moffet did a great job with Day of the Dr and Twice upon a time, Day of the Dr had some great scene's and music when the Dr's emerge from that stasis picture walking in time with each other and the music still makes me smile. Twice upon a time was funny in places especially with the first Dr's none P.C comments, I also like to see Mark Gattis make appearances his acting as is his writing are always spot on. But for the life of me I just can't get into Chubby Chib's writing style I would even go as far as saying he is far better writing drama then scifi, I can't hellp wondering what Jodi would be like with RTD or Moffet writing her scripts.
@TreyMcDonaldAnimator4 жыл бұрын
I'm kind of compelled to agree. The drama in Doctor Who during his era has been pretty good, even the historical stuff has been on the money. But there's an element of Who that isn't quite clicking and after the Timeless Children, it's very apparent that he had a master plan behind Who from the get go. Jodie has been written VERY well in non canon things -- The Runaway VR game highlights her strengths as The Doctor beautifully. So it's definitely the writing that puts a hamper on this Neo New Who.
@albaproductions96024 жыл бұрын
@@TreyMcDonaldAnimator I think he went into the show thinking he could write SciFi in the same style as drama which does not work at all, it's a shame really because Jodi has done her best with what's written. I would like to see Mark Gattiss as head writer, his experience of writing for the show has been proven and where Chibnall is in your face with his political messages I think Gattiss would be more subtle and still get the message across. I liked RTD as head writer he wrote for adults and children.
@TreyMcDonaldAnimator4 жыл бұрын
@@albaproductions9602 he would be good, Nicolas Briggs would be good, I heard he has written a few. Just someone who can present a bold but faithful continuation of Who. Chibnall, despite some pretty winning episodes like Fugitive of the Judoon and Ascension of the Cyberman (I'd even give this finale a bit of a nod for wrapping up loose holes) it doesn't carry the same kind of magic as Moffat and RTD.

My theory is that the Time Lords have human origin that founding fathers like Rassilon and Omega wanted to cover up to create a new, greater civilization. Whatever the Timeless Child or Children is enabled Rassilon to find the key to regeneration and "eternal life". Things that support the Time Lords having human origin: 1. Their appearance is extremely human-like, pretty much identical. 2. They speak English 3. Rassilon said in the End of Time that the Time Lords could either die or "return" to the waking world and complete the ultimate sanction. He could've said "go" but said "return", which implies that Earth has a place somewhere in their history. Maybe only the founding fathers and corrupt High Council only know their true origin. I have always thought the Time Lords and humanity are connected somehow. It explains why the Doctor is attracted to humans and visits Earth more than Gallifrey.

Doctor Who series 12 final episode 10 theory! Spoilers ahead!: The human refugees are the Gallifreyan ancestors. They travelled to Gallifrey to survive and down the line, evolved into what we know as Gallifreyans (two hearts, longer Lifespan, etc.) They found the timeless child and used her to gain the ability to Regenerate, leading to the first time lords. I think the Ruth doctor came before the first doctor. They forced the timeless child to regenerate into William Hartnell, gave him a new regeneration cycle and wiped his memory That’s why the Master was angry. Because he’s always hated humanity, and how he’s found out the time lords are basically evolved humans. You can clearly see the citadel of Gallifrey through the portal. As the old man said. It doesn’t normally look like that. The Master used the portal to travel back to reach the doc so he had some control over it I guess. That’s my theory
