One of the greatest examples of how Classical and Metal are so similar; the string intro is from the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D. Many of the solo licks and eve the main solo SYU plays are note-for-note from the solo violin in the third movement. Genius. It all works. Then you have Unlucky Morpheus using a Bach style composing technique in "Cadaver/Revadac" and Lovebites paying homage to "Mars" from Gustav Holst's "The Planets" in the intro to "Set The World on Fire" Lots of love for the classics with these bands!

Galneryus is a supergroup of talent. Killer power metal. SYU-san is the Yngwie Malmsteen of Japan. Midori from Lovebites knows him! Masatoshi-san has a strong voice.

Just like a lot of other asian kids, Syu started his musical journey playing a violin. So ... there's a significant possibility he already knew how to play much of Tchaikovsky's opus 35 on a violin, well before they decided to write a power metal song around it.

No, it's Junichi Sato, Fumiya only filled in for a few years (2 studio albums) after Sato left and has been out for 3 years already again. The drummer on their latest two albums is called Lea.
