Can't remember that one, a bit before my time. What a shame I believe not a single Irish Dance Hall left in London, Hope things are great in the good ole USA.

There was also a good Ballroom in Fulham Broadway but I can't remember the name, I think it was called The Hibernian.

Great times. I remember ending up in Ashtons on a Saturday night. The bouncers were very strict about who would be let in and who were not. I remember seeing them walking down the queue of people outside and pulling out people who clearly weren't Irish (or Irish looking) and telling them that they had there own clubs to use. Happy days.

The Irish girls were hard to get to dance with . But Ii went there on Sat nights, met lots of friends from Skibbereen and great passionate Irish girls. Once I went our with this pretty Irish girl I met there . But she would not kiss . after about an hour she told me she had been a novice in a convent (nun) and kissing was bad. So i never met her again.
