This is great information. I work in Biopharma and we’ve been having lots of noise on our analytical instruments. I’m proposing to add a Isolator transformer to clean the feed of my control panel. Is this the right thing? However, my sensor input is having noise, isn’t too stable, should I apply a galvanic isolator instead?

Glad it was helpful!. However don't forget That the Nautical instruments are DC instruments, and the Isolator transformer is used to clean AC signals coming from Shore power or Gensets. In that case, I recommend isolating the ground bus bar in your control panel. That noise is produced by interference with some returns from other components in your control panel. In the same way, the Galvanic Isolator is a Device used to block the intrusion in your boat of DC currents through the ground coming from the shore power pedestal
