Laserpecker shills/backers seem to be mad that the F1 is so much better for not much more with a marginally smaller work area. I don't own the LP4 but I have used my friends LP4 and compared it with the F1 myself and him. We came to the same conclusion. I'm not a xtool fanboi. I just know that the LP4 is a terrible value, although the rotary is nice when it works. F1 extension is also way better. A new LP4 shouldn't even be a choice for a galvo laser, when you have the F1 and Fiber lasers. LP4 for a few hundred cause someone regretted their purchase? Sure it'd be a nice kit, but not brand new. Appreciate your videos!

There are a couple of good videos now that show how to easily raise the LP4 with the shield on and lower it to the desired position quickly using the app, making it much less of a hassle to position materials. It didn’t seem to me that this was a really fair comparison…I had the sense that you had worked more with the Xtool, and that you were more certain of its settings too. I wouldn’t have assumed that the same settings would work for both lasers on a first try.

Thank you for the comment, to be clear we didn’t use the exact same settings, we mention this in the video that our goal was to get the same look. F1 was faster when achieving the same look as the LP4. Even though moving the shield up and down with the app works it still not as convenient as the F1 and there will always be a gap on the bottom.

You are right that we had more experience with the F1 that’s why we mentioned that in the video as well, that we have been using the F1 for a month and this was our first video with the LP4. Again both machines achieved the same look but at the end it all came down to speed and convenience for us. Our experience may not be the same as others 😊

Hmm... could the LaserPecker rotary be used with the F1? wonder what the compatibles are... Thanks for this comparison, I have been wondering this for a while...

Oh that’s an interesting thought, by default it wouldn’t work because the connection for the F1 is not a usb-c but we will do some investigating and let you know

nice video :) well done but from the start on it really looked like the f1 was winning 👍 why didn’t you do some cutting with both and see who is more accurate? maybe an idea for a future video 👍

can you please do a black plastic test?
@VelfCreations Жыл бұрын
Sure we can give it a try, can you give us an example of something you are looking to engrave? That will help us come up with settings that will be the most helpful to you

@@VelfCreations I want to engrave my brand on the case of my electronic products. Which are all black, I don't know what material they are made of, just that it is black plastic.

Responded on the Facebook Group but also wanted to leave a comment here for the KZbin people 😄. I must mention that some plastics especially pvc can release very toxic fumes, so you will need to have really good ventilation or even better just laser engrave outside. I probably won’t make a video for that reason, people get really mad when I post plastic laser engraving haha. But if you do want to give it a try I have marked black PLA from a 3d printer with these settings. IR laser Power: 100 Speed: 800 Lines Per Cm: 300. This creates a white permanent mark. I don’t think the blue light laser would give you a deep engrave it will probably just melt black plastic.
