Let’s be honest u can’t call for development and don’t want to see change towards development it’s just the start don’t build shops 🏬 on the road where vehicles 🚗 and pedestrians 🚶🏼♀️ should pass keep up the good work

Before enforcement at first do you have a capacity for them?Provide them a better Market before demolishing the little they have…. Stop massive deportation… fight against corruption, stop depressing your own people since you can’t provide any social income for the poor. Thousand of graduates can provide them better works, no employment opportunities around, except serving the Governments. Wake up.💁

This is sad. You can see the arrogance towards the people affected. I hope these people were given well-informed prior . And given time to get prepared. You can not just come and give orders like this when people are struggling to put food on the table. Shocking is the sheer arrogance. Patience is the key. I am however urging those affected to cooperate with the authorities. This could be done in an easier and smarter way without such a display of arrogance. Our people comes first. Let's learn to treat each other with respect and dignity. This is seriously lacking.
@Gambiathisweek Жыл бұрын
It's definitely sad to be honest
@bocjagne2878 Жыл бұрын
I can tell you they were well informed prior to the operation. Sad to say it but most Gambian people are not only stupid but stubborn as well and most of us don't want to comply with the law so how can you show respect and dignity to such people? These shop owners and vendors are far more arrogant than the police. There was hardly anywhere you can walk in and around Serekunda because they had taken over everywhere and people were forced to walk on the roads. In my opinion, this operation is well overdue and should have been done years ago.
@bubabaldeh1569 Жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. What's wrong is wrong. We all from Gambia but we know how narrowed our roads are as a result of the way shop owners and street vendors constructed their stalls. See during the rainy season we the pedestrians suffer a lot as a result of their actions. I believe they have been notified earlier and besides sensitization campaign could have been also going on in the media. The problem is we Gambians don't value and respect laws. We take everything for granted... It is obvious that our roads should be wide and free for all roads users be it pedestrians cyclists motorists should freely move on. This could even reduce the extent of frequent road accidents.
