During my time living in Turkey, I had the chance to meet Nigerians from various regions. I observed that those from the northern part of Nigeria stood out from the typical portrayals we often see on TV. They had a calm, friendly demeanor, were easygoing, and carried themselves with a deep sense of respect. Their outlook on life seemed strongly influenced by their cultural values.

@@angelicakweku5293 Niger Republic and Chad's populations combined don't come up to half the population of Northern Nigeria. The majority of the poor masses are native to Northern Nigeria. Even if we assumed that every youth in those countries ran to the "el Dorado" of Northern Nigeria that would not account for the fact that the masses in that portion of the country are amongst the poorest in the world. No doubt there is a miniscule ultra-rich class that is being celebrated and lauded but they are dwarfed by the sheer number of people living in "multi-dimensional" poverty. You missed Kura, Yan Kaba, Dawanau grain market, Kofar ruwa, Wudil cattle market, Yan Kura, Singa food market, Sabon Gari market, and most of the cool spots and joints in Kano. It would have been more visually appealing but this is great video. I am far from home but you brought home to me, Surely GANO DID IT!!!

And the Kano billionaires are not product of trade but Government assited monopoly business, oil wells, dollars, licences and other soft landings that gives advantage to them. Old dont quit me wrong I have never denied Kano's entrepreneur inclination and frugality in money management.

The commercial hub of the north is Kano, while that of the South is Lagos. But between them, there are other regional commercial hubs like Onitsha and Aba in the South East.

Kano is truly a hidden gem with so many remarkable achievements: Highest population in Nigeria and Africa (over 9 million). One of the richest cities and a major center of commerce in Africa. Has the 2nd largest movie industry in Africa (Kanywood). Home to some of the richest men in Africa, and the only city that produced 2 of the top ten richest men on the continent. A leading hub for textile production, with Kano's dye pits being one of the oldest and most vibrant in Africa. Host to Kurmi Market, one of the oldest and largest markets in West Africa, known for its vibrant trade in textiles, spices, leather goods, and crafts. A city of rich cultural heritage, boasting historical landmarks like the ancient city walls, the Gidan Makama Museum, and the Great Mosque of Kano. A leading center for Islamic scholarship in Africa, with many prominent Islamic scholars and institutions. Yet, despite these impressive credentials, Kano remains relatively unknown to the world-a paradox that continues to surprise me. Thanks to creators like you, hidden gems like Kano won't stay hidden forever!

I interacted with many Nigerians in Malaysia back in my varsity years. I noticed that Nigerians from the north and south are different. Guys from the north were cool, calm, easygoing, friendly, respectful, cultured, etc.

Do you know much of federal government money has been poured into the hands of many of them in Northern states, especially, Kano and Kaduna? How much of the Nigerian federal government money has been given to them free of charge over the years? If you gave the same kind of money to young Southern entrepreneurs, you'll have closer to 50% of the population becoming millionaires, billionaires, and trillionaires.

The religious (mind control) fervor of the impoverished northern Nigeria masses and their manipulators keep Nigeria from fully developing and truly becoming the "Giant" of Africa.

i love what you said in 3:20 "NEPOTISM"....especially in government, they don't care your qualification as long as you are "NA MU NAMU"....it has greatly worked for them...other tribes should learn from them. and they are not jealous of others success.
@keepitsimple3134 ай бұрын
Worked for them in keeping them in power forever but working against the rest of the suffering masses of Nigerians. Nepotism and tribal bigotry when it comes to government employment and appointments means you don't get to appoint people who are the most qualified for the positions or jobs. Which leads to incompetent, clueless, power-drunk immature people in these positions destroying the economy of the country and causing chaos, suffering and pain on the poor masses in the long-term.
@stephenhumphrey88854 ай бұрын
They use that to bribe the poor masses from the north who are 90% of the population. They use this nepotism to bribe them into supporting them so they give them such opportunities which amounts to nothing because it doesn't go round to more than 2% of the population. WHile the elites cash out in billions. Keeping 200 million other Nigerians in poverty.
