Fantastic work! Who else tried to dodge the clear resin squirt on reflex? Also, that sewing is crazy. Did you have to search for a pattern for it or you just knew how to do it by looking at reference images?
@StevenRichter13 күн бұрын
Thanks! I made a pattern for the jacket from reference. It took a full day and the process was so finicky and frustrating that I decided to skip the added pressure of filming it. lol

With that putty you use for masking off during painting, can you reuse it afterwards or does the paint it catch make it unusable for future stuff?
@StevenRichter10 күн бұрын
I’ve tried kneading the silly putty until the paint flakes break down in it. And that works pretty well. I should be able to get a few uses out of it, but I don’t know that I’d trust this batch to mask something that’s supposed to be super clean again

I'm ngl, this is amazing, the likeness is there, the detail is there, but the painting is off. The skin looks a little dead imo. Ive noticed this with your other ones too, the skin doesn't seem to have the right shading and undertones and just leads it to looking plasticy, but maybe that's your style, up to you. Just giving a little advice, not sure if it is appropriate to give or not, I still love your content, and I'm excited to see what you do next!

Wouldn't blowing air create air bubbles in the silicon? Nice sculpture btw!
@StevenRichter10 күн бұрын
Thanks! And It both does and it doesn’t. I’m only concerned with capturing the surface detail. So I pop the bubbles that are keeping the silicone from touching the model. But in doing so, the silicone itself probably has more bubbles within it. If that makes sense.
@sublimebeyondloss688710 күн бұрын
@@StevenRichter Yes it does! As a matter of fact I used the same silicone you use to make a mold of my hand only to find it's about near impossible to paint on😂 so it's an orange hand I guess

Your work is just spectacular! Would you ever consider doing an 80's properties like characters from the 1986 movie 'Aliens' or John Carpenter's 'The Thing'?
