Well apparently ESMA are sniffing around too. It’s a good thing - what we are all looking for here is democratization of access to capital for skilled traders, much like technology has democratized making music (takes years to make something decent even if the tools are accessible). All the firms will need to resemble Darwinex in some way. Trading is never going to be a useless skill!

Man, you are so right. Prop firms were meant to be a good thing for the majority of us who are underfunded, and good business for their owners. But ever since the rules were weakened, peoples' focus shifted from pure work ethic and consistency on the charts to milking prop firms, as if trading success was getting a funded account. I just hope they'll still be around when I start being profitable, consistently. It would really help.

I agree on the Prop firm bit. When there were hard rules in play like 30 day rule etc you had less prop firms going down, now with everything being so easy you have so many new prop firms that it's hard to tell which one is legit, I mean who would've guessed that TFF would go down? They were SOLID! But these soft rules are not actually helping us, they're hurting us because prop firms are going down with our money. I'm currently in phase 2 of 2 different props and doing very well, i'm not even happy about that because i'm thinking "will I wake up to news that the prop I trade with has gone down?" or "even if I make it to the payout stage, will I actually get paid out?" Something needs to change within the prop space, things are way too fragile, need some stability

Yeah man this is exactly what needs to happen because otherwise we’ll have no props at all and those that can actually trade and treat it serious are left high and dry the model is also too good so things will deffo get better but it may come with some rocky months we adapt and we move it’s also why Darwinex is importan to have if you have long term focus

@@AlbertBurgess MyFundedFX have kind of sorted that problem with the new 1 step pro challenge. 2% profit per day max., 2% loss per day max. Also its 1 step to 8% and weekly payouts. They're so confident with this new model that they even allowed Pakistan and Vietnam traders back who are known for doing dodgy stuff in the space. Prop model is proven to work its just going through the re-shaping phase. I wouldnt worry too much just get your initial investment out ASAP and anything else is a bonus!

they only way to solve this issue is if they stop paying winners with losers' challenge fees and start truthfully linking successful traders to the live markets instead of giving "funded" traders with demo accounts - imagine a day comes when more winners than losers all prop firms will go down cos they all use this model

I'll have to disagree with the gambling bit. As long as you trade within the clearly defined rules of the prop firm , no matter how you make your profit you should be paid out. I understand what you're saying because it you've worked very hard to get to where you have and some ninny has just full punted it and gotten big bucks , sure, but at the end of the day as a BUSINESS, A COMPANY, there's no way that they should be denying anything on the basis that it's "gambling" based on their opinion. You blaming them shifts the poor business practices we have been seeing in the prop space. Otherwise, solid video as always, one love

The problem is most prop firms trade with virtual money and when a trader requests a pay out they cover that pay out with real money from traders taking challenge's and failing as the most traders fail most challenges (myself included) This is essentially a giant Ponzi scheme and will collapse as too many prop firms are competing for the same traders and if they get too many withdrawal request from actual successful traders then they can pay out if not enough money is coming in from challenges (hence the watering down of rules to encourage gamblers.) Real prop firms which there are few off will pay you from profits made by actual positive returns and not via challenges.

I think 30 days is still not really good for making 10% but a time limit is definitely needed i would recommend 60 days would be a sweet spot as then give actual traders a good psychological head space to pass challenges

The prop firms are the ones to blame for this. They should have really delved in to their business model and put things in place to further their longevity. IMO the remaining firms are trending on thin ice and it won’t be long before they all fold in exactly the same way the others have. The business model is no different amongst the firms. The older firms are lasting longer due to having more capital reserved

Bizarre mindset to carry, regardless of saying you “knew” they would fall they’ve also changed many peoples lives including my own. If you have a skill set that can’t be taken away and I don’t believe the model is going anywhere I just think rules will change which is totally fine, again did you watch the whole video? Big brokers are about to step into the market done right it’ll be great for traders who can actually trade. The premise was about those who have come into simply gamble and are likely going to be affected the most. Also having 100k in a broker isn’t always super smart considering brokers can say bye bye too. Prop firms allowing you to risk a few hundred quid for thousands in return is a lower risk investment. I’ve always said do both and of course Darwinex. This game carries risks always and you have to be prepared for that and able to adapt if need be. I don’t really get the Willy waving comment like you are the oracle from the matrix. Have a great week.

All you millennial dossers willy waving prop firms in every 2nd video have caused alot of dismay for the industry. All of them are unregulated and are a ponzi scheme like it or not. You can certainly trade 100K or more with a fully regulated broker such as the one I have always used. That's the way the top1% do it in this game. There is no such thing as free capital and there never will be, there will always be consequencial outcomes. Goodluck
