Gamblin Gamsol VS Chelsea Lavender Spike Oil - The Real Facts!

Dear Wild, thanks for sharing these two products , I am intending to use Gamblin Gamsol for my underpainting and to clean my brushes . Please let me know any medium for oil painting with minimum glossiness or shiny. May be using too much medium create glossiness, I looked to the some Gamsol products talking about glossiness, would be thankful for your advise.

I only have a bedroom that I can use as my space to paint in. Is it okay to use gamblin gamsol in there? The room can be ventilated easily with 2 windows but it's a small room. I let the paintings dry in the shed outside. I close the lids tight on the gamblin solvent and put it in a closed closet. Gamblin states that it's safe to use in a bedroom like this but is it though? Got some personal advise? I only use solvent during the underlayer phase

I got you... 1st... YES you will be ok to use it in a bed room provided you do they following below: - Invest in a basic fan that gently blows the vapors away towards the window or sucks the air out into the window and out (this will create airflow).... Airflow is key and a healthy move - Always cover your thinner when you are not using it.... Cover it with anything: lid, towel, carboard, anything. It will help reduce the vapors that flow up. - When cleaning with solvent be gentle ( the harder your swish or beat off the brush.... the more vapor will get in the air) - When you are all done painting - Store the solvent away from you ( perhaps that shed you mentioned) Those are some quick and safe tips. How does the Gamsol compare to the Brush Cleaners just to the right of you in this video? Is there a difference between the Lav Spike oil and the Lav Brush Cleaner?
