The problem with treating gambling as entertainment is tha the fin comes with the win nd a big win is more fun than a small win. Whether the habit becomse pathological and self abusive depends on personality and motivation but the safest thing by far is to not get involved in it. I suppose what I am saying is do not underestimate the power of a compelling and buzz inducing behaviour to become pathological.

After watching several hundred videos of people saying that others need to know the dangers of gambling. I think I'm well aware. I don't regret one bit of going to the casinos. I had a great time. Money's tight, so now I'll just throw a 20 on a game every once in a while, and it gives me something to root for. It's fun.

Unfortunately, the reason why casinos succeed is because there is demand for gambling. It is one of the many things society is deciding to tolerate in this day of age. The best way to destroy gambling is if the people decide as a group to stop demanding it. However, with unemployment up, stress levels up, and more people not knowing how to become wealthy, they rely on luck instead of saving money.

Gamblers tend to overestimate their odds of winning and how well they are doing. They remember the good times and forget the bad times. One time my grandpa played blackjack just for fun and with phony chips, he "lost" around $120,000 (not really, just for fun). My grandpa got annoyed every time I told him how much play money he lost. At the end, he told me that "Oh, that's OK. Since I lost here, next time I'll win (Gambler's Fallacy, false belief in the law of averages).

my advice is, only make one bet a day, for about 10% of your total money, and only bet on sports, get picks online if you dont know anything about sports and hopefully u might even earn some money, but this is mostly for u to lose your demand. dont stop fully at beginning cause it wont work and GL anyway

slots are a tax on the stupid. the worst edge vs the player in the entire casino.. assuming most people like money more than some stupid 'rush' well i ask how fucking hard is it to just play games like poker or the stock market where the player can build an edge through hard work? best thing is you can bet as small as you want while you learn the ropes. How about using your brain to make a million dollars instead of hoping to hit the big one that doesn't come for just about everybody.

I've gambled and won consistently for 6? years now. how hard is it to just play poker or invest in stocks, only a moron bets big money where the games have the edge against them. If you want a rush find an adrenaline sport. Gambling has brought me nothing but something to do and extra money. Just be smart and put in work for games where it's not impossible to win.
