Great to see you do the excavating for the site too with the mini-excavator! I liked how you did the slanted apron in the front Ken. First time I've seen you put a row of blocks down. I didn't notice how you anchored the sill plate above the blocks. You mentioned you were going to drill. Is that how you did it? The ladder hoist sure came in handy on this build. That gambrel roof I haven't seen before either. The view there is amazing! That was a really windy day when you put up the upstairs walls! Just you and Chad on this build with a bit of help from Lauren. I like the flare outs. You even built your own trusses on this job! I'm surprised the owner didn't put in more windows. Wow, fast forward on the tri-flex and metal roof installation. Thanks for showing the steps up to the studio being put in. I haven't seen you put in stress relief cuts into any of your slabs before either. Wow, T-111 all installed and then painting too. How did you vent the flare out? A few holes in the soffit? That was interesting build Ken! Very impressive! That was an intense time lapse. Three weeks in half an hour! Thanks for this Ken!

@@kenskarpentry really wish you guys were in central Ohio. That being said I'm in a pretty low cost of living state...after watching your video on pricing trends of raw materials I plan on waiting 2-3 more months to hope concrete, etc. drops a bit more in line with rising interest rates and then I'll be putting out some garage + option for apartment solicitations myself! Hello Ken. I very much enjoy your garage builds. I have a 26X26 Gambrel just as you built in this video, but you used better quality products. The property I purchased in 2019 came with this Gambrel. I'm really struggling to find a concept where a 26X26 Gambrel has been been expanded. My lower walls are only 8ft high which poses a problem in getting taller equipment into my shop. I need to double or even triple the length. My gambrel has excellent concrete footing and poured floor, but the gambrel design does not appear to lend to adding on to create more space. If you have any examples of a Gambrel being lengthened or where an extension with higher walls were added, I'd love to see them. I'd rather add on then have another separate out building (Pole barn) on the property. Thank you sir.

I understand most of your structures are intended primarily as garages, but it seems quite a few also double as living spaces. So I would expect more 2 x 6 construction, especially in your area. Just wondering why more of your structures are not 2 x 6 construction. God bless, stay well.
