The Bourne end to end and the Rangers missing a 2on 0 break in game 1... Two huge plays in this series

Anybody remember Ice World in Totowa NJ ? The Rangers and Devils use to practice there. My friends and I would ride our bikes from Clifton and dumpster dive for broken sticks, Some were still good from the bottom up. We would cut the blade off and attach a plastic street hockey blade and play street hockey. I still have Tommy Laidlaw's Koho stick (Has his name stamped on it) from around 1983 !!

If not for the 1994 Edmonton Rangers we'd still be chanting 1940!

Bourne Sutter and Sutter scored 70 pts in those playoffs. Potvin has most 20 goal seasons in history. Mostly with the wrist shot.

It is hard finding these games. The more you watch the more you realize how significant guys like Butch were, he put the Isles special teams into outer space great. Guy never stopped skating, it’s like watching the Tasmanian devil.

Bob Bourne probably would have won the Conn Smyth trophy in '83 if Billy Smith didn't dominate the finals.

I was there too. I can still remember the crowd buzz getting louder and louder as Bourne made his way up the ice.

Rangers n isles were different teams at home. Beating dynasty isles at home was pretty impossible. Even in 84 isles lost to edm 1 to zero then hlew them.out game 2 wn nc

Bourne was not a prolific goal scorer but he did have a penchant for scoring some pretty ones.

In fairness he had several 30+ goal seasons with a career high of 36. He was the Isles best forward in the 83 playoffs.

Rsngers didnt suck as much as iskes were clearly the better team.
