sucks that u didnt move on the sheep :\ AMAZING spot there. Desert faith, 1 extra salt 2 wheat, possible petra for trade route and slight production.

Very weak petra, not worth considering. However if he had moved his warrior first before settling I think the horse 1 tile ne is the perfect spot. Same production as settling hill, immediately connects the horses to trade network, adjacent to salt tile and moves another salt in range, etc.

I always hear you talk about the dangers of Frigates but I never actually see anyone use huge fleets of them. I find everyone saying "The frigates are coming" and nobody actually makes them. xD

I know this is like a decade old comment, but the reason is that there’s certain techs that you can use to steamroll people. Frigates are one of them, which doesn’t mean someone’s going to frigate push every game, it means you should be ready for someone to frigate push because if someone happens to have the right circumstances it can be game ending if you’re unprepared.

Very good lands, not good for domination! Too much rough. Horse archers can move two in rough but battering rams or any other city taker will take forever to get around.

What is the reasoning behind granary into settler? As soon as granary is done, settler stagnates growth so you are paying maintenance on a building you can't use. Is the benefit of having the +2 food and opportunity to run caravans asap > the maintenance cost?

Permanent Quandary Food is actually converted into production for settlers. Without going back and watching the video, it's probably more a timing thing with the liberty policy than it is wanting the granary at that moment.
