This was the only game my grandma used to play, on her GameBoy Advance. She had one console and one game. She actually wrote down the codes for safe points directly on her GameBoy, instead of taking a sheet of paper. Sometimes she let me play and I remember being scared by some of the overly loud sounds, the claustrophobic screen that doesn't give you a lot of reaction time for approaching enemies and I was especially frightened by the game over screen, which almost traumatized me. Now that she's gone, I've inherited her GameBoy and I can still see the numbers she wrote down and I still feel that sensation of a button that has been pressed too often, everytime I use the A-button. It all feels the same as it did back then, except she's not here anymore. On occasion, I'm afraid I would forget her. On occasion, I'm afraid of losing that memory. But this game allows her to stay in my mind. Because people only die, when they are forgotten. Thank you for reading this.

God bless U and your grandma. The overused button is probably caused by the horse race in roma, nearly impossible to beat. I tried every finger position to machinegun hammer the button, without success. I found that rubbing my finger repeateadly on the button made me press it faster. I won once, and I had painful blister on my finger for days.

Use a thin fabric like a tshirt and put it over the button of your gameboy. Then press the button through the fabric and quickly swipe left and right over it (as if you‘re playing curling) Ps: its much easier if you play on a GB Advance because the buttons are thinner.
