The reason Scott delivered that Pokemon bit the way he did is partly because he doesn’t like RPGs, partly because he doesn’t like Pokemon, but mostly because as “the Nintendo guy” everyone kinda wants him to do videos on Pokemon.
@mistermaxie64873 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I can understand it, but the bits he does can come off as a bit too smug on occasion. His RPG themed video wasn't very convincing, especially after he brought on Dunkey of all effing people to represent the RPG hating equivalent of God. Other than that, though, I feel like it's easy to understand where Scott comes from.
@-libertyprimev1-9023 жыл бұрын
I think it was a good bit, cause even if he was a big fan of Pokemon and did a whole bit on it in thIs video or gave it it's own video, what more could you possibly say about Pokemon on the Gameboy that hasn't already been said...

14:20 His first major invention for the company was the grabber hand toy, which impressed the higher ups quite a bit. The story of the train is actually how he got the idea of the Game & Watch systems, not the Game Boy. Scott covers this stuff in some of his other episodes. He’s covered most of Nintendo’s history, from when they ran sex hotels to when they thought the Wii U would sell.

There was also the DS that was taken up Mt. Everest, It was one of the few pieces of electronic equipment that did not fail from the harsh conditions.

9:40 Actually the Gameboy was from a soldier during the Gulf War, not the War in Afghanistan.

21:20 I've accidently left a DS running overnight and it was still green if you turn off a DS and you don't charge it, that battery will drain faster than an Iphone at max brightness
@Maniac4Bricks3 жыл бұрын
9:40 quick correction: survived an explosion in the *Gulf War* and rests on display still functioning at *Nintendo Store NYC* . Source: I've seen it there myself. But still an incredible feat.

(iirc) Doesn't the Gameboy Light also have a Metallic Shell? That's sounds Amazing, and everyone else seems to agree because there's Machined Metal Shells sold for All the Gameboys nowadays and they cost a pretty penny at around $80... To be clear that's Just for the Shell.

Gunpei Yokoi basically re-invented Nintendo, as he created the Ultra Hand, which both saved Nintendo from bankruptcy and eventually paved the way to Nintendo eventually attempting to make video games.
